I just recorded a run with a time of 1:14:29, which is still 4,5 minutes above the time i want, but i dont know if im still willing to try that. Its possible, cause at some points i was really scared of dying and i decided to slow the pace a little bit, but not as if i was walking through the game. I was unlucky a couple of times, but i know that when i retry it, im gonna be unlucky at a couple of spots again, thats just how things work, apparently. Biggest screw-up must be that i died twice...on the same level!!! 5-8 that is, i dunno, concentration was gone i guess. Those were the only deaths in the run.

I think im gonna send this run in, possible improving it in the future. I really want to start a new run, for a new game at the moment, but if you guys say i should retry, you might convince me.

Dude, Mario is TOUGH.  From my chair, two deaths is very impressive regardless.  It may not be as nifty as a 0 death run, but I'd still watch it!

I do think i could have gotten 0 deaths, though, but once i died at 5-8 the first time, my concentration took a blow, which made me die again, after that i was like CMON MAN!!!! and everything went pretty smoothly.

Well, I say try it again a few more times (Maybe one or two), and if it doesn't work out, send in the two death run and if you feel like improving later, you can.

Btw, does anyone know if the PAL version of Mario 3 has the same slowdown most of the PAL Nes games have?

no, I don´t Think so but there is some version difference (not in speed)...But it´s not so important in a so long run as this...

Ok, then. I tried a couple of times yesterday, but i got killed in pipe world, so im going to send in my 1:14 run. Im gonna pick up my SNES tomorrow so i will be able to run those games as well now, just need some games for it.

Don't get DKC3.  Horrible game.  (Looks up at his new thread, and coughs).  If you're still willing to stomach Mario though... Super Mario All-Stars The Lost Levels run!
