Mike I can only commit to Saturday at the time being (until my job stops jerking me around and settles on a consistent schedule), so this may affect where you've placed Toejam and Earl. I meet with my boss on Friday with the hopes of hammering out the rest of my summer schedule, so maybe this post will be moot in a couple days. But I figure forewarned is forearmed.

I understand you wanted the two games played near each other, but honestly I see that causing problems eventually anyway (let's say something comes up and I can't go; I wouldn't want TJ2 to be axed as well, though maybe you'd feel differently). Anyway, if it's possible to schedule me on Saturday, that'd be preferred.

My feelings on The Demon Rush

Schedule updated.

For now the game in graveyard shift is Shantae: Risky's Revenge. I might change it to RE: Chain of Memories because that's a more popular game, but I actually like having 2 hours in that slot instead of the original four hours.

Mirror's Edge is right before the PC games slot.

ToeJam and Earl is now right after Shadow of the Colossus. Let me know if your situation changes IMW.

Riku's story in Re: Chain of Memories is shorter than Sora's (spikevegeta estimated 2 1/2 hours for Riku). IMO it would be a better marathon run than Sora's story since Riku's has more action and less cutscenes/menu work.

The difference between Sora vs. Riku is randomness. It's far more easy to consistently run Riku's story than Sora's, as there is just SO MUCH LUCK involved with Sora's story.

I have to agree. If you want comparisons you can go to Longplays.org and check out the two seperate LPs there.

They have both stories done.

Sora's story is about twice as long as Riku's.

His username here is Alexandre, although I don't know how to pronounce it since it's supposed to be in Portuguese. And yes DW, you've met him, since he's the only brother I have. Wink

Hey now, you are LDS. I'd expect at least more than one brother. I'd also feel sorry for him if he had more than one sister and was the youngest. I had it bad enough with one older sister.

You basically just described me. Youngest and with not one, not two, but five older sisters. And one brother. I watched a lot of Jane Austen movies as a kid.

Heh, I had to read a Bronte novel in high school. That was torture enough. My only complaint sister-wise is that she made me (she'd deny it) watch She-Ra instead of He-Man.

Same story for me only I was the older; and trust me, it's no better on the other side of the fence (usually had to bribe my sister with candy or doing her chores to get her to play 2-player SMB3 with me).

Lol, I just looked at the schedule again last night and was like "oh, I guess I'm doing Re: Chain of Memories".

So I went ahead and played through it again last night, just remembering everything, and I would like to throw out an alternate idea. Even with the Riku mode, it's 2 to 2.5 hours of the same thing over and over again. Either Sora or Riku you have to grind at 2 or 3 points and grind for map cards for long periods of time, with the only pay off from all that grinding being mostly similar looking boss battles at the end of each "level". I know I offered to do this game(and I'm totally willing to if we need me to), but I have a different game in mind that would be much more interesting.

I can give you guys N64 Rayman 2: The Great Escape in about 2:35:00-2:40:00. That's a fun to watch platformer which changes it up enough, and will have much less randomness.

Also, on the subject of Kingdom Hearts, I'm more willing to do that, , but if it means puwexil and I losing KH2, I don't think it's worth it. KH would would involve about 2 hours or so of cutscenes that you can't skip, and I don't think it would be good to dedicate 2 hours worth of the marathon(since we are already crunched for time) to watching those. If you really need another 1.5 hours filled, I could do a Jill best Ending run for Resident Evil for the Playstation. I can easily pull off a 1:25 or so.

Just some stuff to throw out there.

Well Aftermath was willing to pick up Shantae: Risky's Revenge, which is a little over 2 hours 100%, which could go into graveyard shift instead. Something like Rayman 2 seems like it shouldn't be graveyard shift material (Rayman has a lot of fans), so if I added that I'd rather add it to late morning/early afternoon, but that's just me. I do agree that something like Rayman 2 would be a great idea for a marathon, I'm just wondering how to add it.

Well, doing KH2 instead of KH 1 changes that from 6:30 to 5:00(Absolute max, puwexil, I can easily teach you different strategies to get your 4:45 down to at at least 4:35), and then if we added Rayman 2, that would overall add an hour to the estimated time, since Rayman 2 would take me about 2:35:00ish,

I don't think you understand, it's a bidding war between the two KH games. And I have no problem with Rayman 2 replacing RE: Chain of Memories, but I have to figure out where it should go (because a rayman game during graveyard shift just seems wrong).

My bad, I didn't see that. I thought it was just our choice. I am in no way trying to tell you how things are going to go, I just thought I would throw out other possibilities and also, just give some info about length of runs or what kind of stuff we would be seeing. If people really want to watch Kingdom Hearts, I'm more than happy to play it or any other game you guys ask me to do. I just didn't know.
