ok what i mean is take for example this site.
http://www.planetdaikatana.com/ wich are more than welcome to delete the link to, once you get my point.
and compare it to your site.

See how they have a design... kind of a layout of the site, with simple graphics and a menu etc.

your site is pretty much just screenshots and text. again that is fine. it works for you. but im just trying to explain what i mean by a site design/layout. i hope this clears it up. if not then i would have to ask someone else to explain it. Grin

i didn't say it was good or bad design. i am trying to get my point across, as to what your site doesn't have. but obviously this is just a joke to you. so im not going to bother wasting anymore time trying to make a point.

for the "design" the less you have the best it is

when you come here, what you wanna see ? some cool color with super nice box with pics everywhere OR simple text to explain what it is, a simple list of game and a really good page for each game that expalin all what you need to know with out any eyes abuse Shocked

Well you might want to choose a better approach then to blame it on Radix.
Saying that you don't care a f*** doesn't sound all that professional.
I'm not the one to judge others but look for an alternative place for nonsense.
It is one thing to joke...but you should be actually doing something for this site...

well i tried to throw around some ideas to help the site and everyone just makes a big joke out of it. So what do you want me to do. Im not gonna take it personally.

From what I gathered, you didn't suggest anything. You simply stated the site's layout is shitty, and you could make a better one.

I myself like the site layout very much. It's very easy on the eyes and extremely easy to navigate.

Why would Radix want to emulate what you think looks good above everything else he does? And how would working on a new site layout help him anyways? It wouldn't, so that completely diverts away from what the thread topic is.

If this site were any more complicated/flashy, I for one would not be here because I would be like Huh?

???. I would still be hoping they played more speed runs on winamp tv, which from what I could find rarely occured. So hooray for having a simple layout, I love it ;D.

dude, you need to read more carefully before you asume i am bashin the site. I mentioned more than once in this discussion that the site looks fine the way it is.

I'm in agreement with that, but putting "the site looks fine" after saying it looks like it was made by a kid isn't exactly great. Let me take everyone on an adventure through this thread from Page 3:

Why does this forum use obsolete version of YaBB? I've visited their site and there's version 2.0 released in September, 2005.

Hey Radix, delightfully random question for you:

What's the approximate volume of complaints you've gotten about "Man where r teh site updates?!1?1!?" I imagine since you updated earlier today it's probably not a lot, but still.

My suggestion would've been to have up a slightly manacing message on the main page saying something to the effect of "If you want me less grumpy, and want me to work on the site more, give me money to help me out of the mess I'm in".

I don't know about SDA's traffic, but it worked in a slightly different form for that one webcomics guy (I forget the comic, unfortunately, but when people complained that he wasn't updating every day, he sarcastically responded "Fine, pay my yearly salary and I'll work on the comic every day for a year", fully intending to shut up the whiners...and was stunned when his readership had, indeed, donated his yearly salary in the span of about a month)...
