What are 'Ads by Google?'

'Ads by Google' connect you to information about products and services that are relevant to the web content you're reading. Google technology understands the nuances of language, and closely matches (or "targets") ads to the specific content of web pages.

Serve Google ads on your website and earn more money

• Display Google ads that are relevant to what visitors are looking for on your site.

• Start serving relevant ads within minutes.

• When site visitors click on these ads, Google pays you

To think I've never clicked the ads....(clicks then quickly closes)

I gotta love the Acne medication links on the Battletoads page.
Fight, Crocogator, for everlasting peace!
He could always just have the page titles be called "SDA - Seriously, Donate Alot"

Fucking Weeaboo
Maybe Radix should move out here where I live.  Seriously, nice town.  And fairly quiet, even during the day.  Low cost of living too.

Long drive though getting here, being in Minnesota and all. ^^;;
I'm addicted to games
Find me a job.
Fucking Weeaboo
Telemarketing?
Housekeeping?
Hotel Front Desk (I have a few co-workers I want gone.)?
Fast Food Management? (We've got a Wendy's going up.)

And plenty of others.
I'm addicted to games
Something that isn't minimum wage dummy.
Fucking Weeaboo
Telemarketers around here earn some decent money.  And front desk is pretty good money for a slack job.  No, serious.  SLACK.  If the stereotypical Mexican can work it, you can.  And you can find a decent apartment for cheap around here.

I did it for almost 3 years before getting my house.  (I still have the job.)

The only downside of front desk?  You'd have to see me on occassion.  ^^;;

ouch!
get somebody :ducks: to make the site look more professional.
put limited ads (random cycling ads) on the site.

oh, and i hate to bring it up, as this has been an ongoing problem, but obviously need to put a donation button on the main page if you want people to be able to find it. most people, and if you are not most than you are excused from this, but most will not go searching for the link to donate. i downloaded runs before and didn't even notice it on the download page.

I know you don't want to say "please donate!!!" but in order to have people donate i would just put a small paypal button (graphic with paypal logo on it that says donate) on the main page somewhere.
Fucking Weeaboo
Having the paypal logo on the main page certainly wouldn't hurt too badly.  It's a small image and considering it's white, it'll stand out with your color scheme.

What?  How does the site not look professional?  It's a gaming site.  All it consists of is a forum and a game list, essentially.  And both look pretty damn good, although people seem to want to whine about the game list a little bit too much, in my opinion.  And I'm not sure making the site look more "professional" is going to make people want to give more money.  I think the site looks fine the way it is.
ouch!

it has no real design, the website is basically a black background with a banner and text. it looks like some kid made it. you want it to look like a site with some sort of design into it. look at gamespot.com that site has design. something like that, but not as complicated would work. There are a lot of similaritys with that site and this. both have large lists of games and both have downloads. that is how i would make it look. but thats just one example of a professinal looking site.
Still alive...
Well, I for myself like the design. Its not full of pictures and stuff. Its clear and understandeble.

And a more "colorfull" design would only increase traffic, which results in higher costs for the site. Wink

yeah, that doesn't look like a kid made it. it was clearly made by an idiot.
putting the whole page into a fixed-width table is a sin. And don't get me started on that overstuffed flashy content. Thank you very much, I don't need bright colors, I can read.

yeah, quit giving me a hard time, you know what i mean by "professional looking" if not than you probably are not in the design feild so it doesnt matter to you anyway. I'm sorry i commented about it  Lips Sealed

And i did say, about the gamespot site, "something like that, but not as complicated" oh and i agree gamespots forum sucks. sorry, but it does. And you can quote me on that!

The site's look is sufficient.  People aren't here to read about gaming news, hands on previews or reviews, they're here to download Speed Runs and a site like this which is ridiculously easy to navigate is so much more ideal than all of the clutter you have to go through on the more "Professional" looking sites like Gamespot.
Fucking Weeaboo
Gamespot can be a professional site because they're owned by CNET Network (which also owns GameFAQs and CNet.com and probably other sites), which is some big media conglomerate and has a bazillion dollars to spend on a super spunky website.
ouch!

i could make a site that looks like gamespot. you dont need a bazillion dollars haha...
ouch!

uuuhhhhhhhhhhhh.... SPAM!
why spam? if he has got problem with hios apartmewnt, why not looking for another one?
ouch!
well you didn't explain in you post, you just posted what seemed to be a random link.

last think i rememeber him saying is "find me a job" not a minimum wage job dummy!

but if he needs new apartment thats good too, i would check the penny saver or local newspaper as well.

maybe, Radix, you should list us your skillz so we can help you better find a suitable job.
(concerning a complex web design)
[sacrasm] Oh yeah, a complicated professional look would help tremendously. I mean, look what it's done for Google, or Maddox. I want spend 10 minutes looking around a site before I find what I'm looking for. [/sarcasm]
ouch!

that is fine that you pick on my idea, i seem to be the outkast here, and that is fine. but i never said to make the site complex and difficult to navigate. I used gamespot as an example of design, that is only one extreme compared to this site wich has no design. and there is nothing wrong with the way the site looks. its simple and to the point.

We are all just throwing around ideas and that was one of my ideas. so if you don't like it, GOOD. caus i still dont give a @^&$! haha j/k. but siriusly... complicated is not good  Grin
