What is a man?
I actually played this game Co-op with another guy at WERY's house last weekend, and has since then wondered how much you can abuse things, I definitely want to watch this! do you have some videos to show ShadowWraith? I'd like to see a semi-good human run Smiley

I'm just uploading my 30:18 now. It's really a 30:15 as I start timing 3 seconds before I gain control, but feh.

S'uploaded.

I gotta start running this again.  I think my best is a 33 something.  I don't really have small enemy optimization down and only ran it a handful of times.

For Jet(s) the strats you use seems consistent but I think if you can get it down the fly kick manipulation can pull much faster times as you can do pretty much anything you want to him where he lands.
I use the reverse facing sword strat on Vehelits.  Or if you can front grab suplex an enemy into him for a double hit can pull massive damage.  When Abadede  knocks you down he almost always orients himself for a belly flop thing, with your invincibility you get a grab almost every time(sometimes he walks around a bit, wasting time).  A setup suggestion for Bear Jr.(untested) would be to do a back attack where he drops down to get him mid screen slide kick over and chain back grab.

Just throwing out some stuff to think about, maybe help you shave some time off those really good splits.

The back attack is an interesting idea, or I could just suplex him towards the middle of the room. The problem is if I'm beating the enemies efficiently up to that point, he spawns before I can get to him so it's a case of luring him over before I can get positioning. I can also bait out his jump attack and grab him off that, I suppose.

Sword on Vehelits would be an idea, but it takes time to grab it (have to smash the egg thing, wait for the explosion, etc) and it makes killing the enemies quickly annoying because I can't grab them with the sword out. Time loss all round there. I've had mixed success with throwing other enemies at him, the problem is getting them lined up. Special spam is the most consistent way I have of taking him out, unfortunately.

The jet fight is a pain in the arse. I try to bait him into the dive kick so I can get a combo off of it, but half the time he goes too far or I get interrupted by a popcorn enemy. Thundertackling the charge punch does more damage than the jump attack (32 vs 20) but the timing is annoying and I lose positioning so I can't chain it. More experimentation needed there.

New PB: 30:02.

I need to work on getting a recording rig set up for this. Sub-29 is my goal, easily attainable. (My sum of best splits is 26:13, but there's some unreasonable luck required to get those times on every stage)

I'm not too familiar with the Streets of Rage games from a speedrunning perspective but I'm a long time fan of them and I am glad to see work here being done. Keep it up and good luck.
