I hated how that guy stole my speedrun. Sent an email to Youtube about it, said I was missing stuff when I had EVERYTHING needed. -_-

Oh well, least he got taken down. Now the only CC NG+ speedrun by me on Youtube up only by me now Cheesy

Oh for f*ck sakes, can't they just IP ban this guy already?
O Zlda?
Why not include that in your email to the extent that you can add to the format you use already. Mention previous names of leperdragon, lepirdragon, and now dragonleper, and argue that more needs to be done as it's clearly one individual repeatedly posting copyrighted works without permission.

Well I sent a copyright thing to Youtube yesterday. Waiting for something to be done.
The message on the right is false.
Well, only one thing we can do know, in his vids, post that it's a copy, and post proof. Not even that, just say it's a fake is really all ya need.

This is getting rediculous though. But in youtube's defence, they've got bigger problems from companies who CAN sue. >>
Stand: Devil's Call in your Heart
so i guess manocheese has to resend his email again hm?

Some good news is that my CC run was taken down.

Yes, a cucco riding the ground.
Does this guy just sit around all day stealing speed runs? =/

There is another copyright tool (other than just e-mailing YouTube) for "copyright holders who anticipate the need to remove many infringing videos," but it seems to be more trouble than it's worth. My current method of getting all the links as quickly as possible is to go to Tools, Page Info, Links in Firefox and copying the relevant links. I imagine it would be possible to automate the process with something that grabbed the links off a certain area of a page. A Greasemonkey script might do the job... But, of course, you'd have to label the result "uses scripts."

TIOLET!
For some reason I suspect that we're dealing with a banned member on this forum, I forgot his nick but I guess most people know who I'm talking about. Now when he can't stir up hell in here, he is uploading our stuff to yt and claim it as his.

Just a thought.
I think so too.

Unfortunately I am not sure exactly who you are talking about...  Purely for the reason, even in my relatively brief time here I have seen more than one fanatic SDA Troll, than just Kirby, who I presume you are thinking of.  Tis indeed a shame that it seems to be the case.

If we could get a list of banned users we can probably find it.
I know it is sad and childish, but i think that wen people like this turn up we just totally spam all the youtube videos, with stuff like, STOLEN, THIS RUN IS NOT YOURS, or how about a good old FUCK YOU.
I know that we should be better people than that but the last thing we want is people thinking that the person who stole then run really did make it.
I would have thought the last thing we want is people thinking that all the people of SDA childish spammers.  On the same level as YouTubers themselves.
Yea i did think of that,
but is just annoys me so much when people take credit for other peoples work Angry
wish youtube would take the theft of other peoples hard work more seriously.

I don't spam it; i post 1 comment, that tells that it's stolen, and it's not polite to do so. =-|

this may be the most unique form of SR theft yet. it's so obvious the two don't match up. not to mention its utter fail at execution.
He's not trying to steal it... his channel description:

I don't own the right to the zelda speedruns on my channel YautjaElder, Peter Branam-Lefkove, and Tomas Abrahamsson do

oh sirvg owns megaman 7 speedun but I don't know who owns the megaman8 speedrun

i never checked his channel. i just couldn't believe how fail it was. his misspelling of simultaneously (god, i hope i didn't misspell that) was all i needed to see. he should've known that the MM8 run was Ifrit's; he left the statid in.

i'm thinking of sending leperdragon a preemptive message. considering he stole Lucid's SotN run, he'll most likely steal mine. i won't threaten him until he does steal it. instead, i'll kindly request that he mention my name and the site. perhaps he'll listen if we don't flame him. emphasis on perhaps.

if he doesn't, the run will be on my Youtube page as soon as it is published here. that'll make the plagirism notice all the easier to fill out.
sounds like a plan.
