I'm getting an event together later this year or even next year. I'm thinking of having it for charity, but I'm not sure which charity group to donate to.
I've talked to many friends in the local area and as far as I know, there are about 8 people including myself that also speedrun.
I'm also unsure of what the setup should be if I want to stream the event. What do I even need? Should I rent out a hotel room, or host it at my own place? Or should I reserve a meeting room at my local university? How much would all of this cost combined?
Discuss! Ideas are welcome. Input is needed. I've never done this before, but there is an audience for this in my city and I would like to bring this kind of thing to the east coast.
