I love YaBB 1G - SP1!
So sometime around 2009 I started putting together a speedrun of this game. I only got as far as the 6th or 7th case before I just lost interest. Several years later I've regained some interest in putting a run together.

I've slowly began remembering a lot as I move along but there's still a ways to go before I can catch myself back up to where I was. In the mean time however, here are some general times for the stages (on Easy) I ran through today just to give people an idea.

Case 0: From "New Game" screen to "would you like to save your game" 6:20 RTA (3 min gametime at save)
Case 1: From "File Loaded" to "would you like to save your game" 12:58 RTA (12 min gametime at save)
Case 2: From "File Loaded" to "would you like to save your game" 13:00 RTA (22 min gametime at save)

From what I can recall in the past, most of the missions are only around 15-20 minutes long.  For the most part, you just go from point A to B with almost no time spent every picking up extra items. I believe you only really need 2 weapons and a couple extra Jammers throughout the entire run. There's a few parts in stage 5 that I kind of recall picking up a few stink bombs but at this exact point I don't recall how many.

Anyways, if anyone has any questions about the game, feel free to ask. And for those of you not at all familiar with the game, it's a stealth game where you take pictures of people and use that to wear disguises of them. It's a fairly easy game with a great story and I suggest everyone check it out at some point, even if just for the laughs you'll get out of it.

So that no one thinks I'm dead or something, I've been having trouble getting the audio to sync up with the video in my recordings so the only videos I could post would be kinda wacky sounding.

I've been working out which weapons I will need to figure out how to pick up (since some drop randomly from surprise attacks on enemies) for 2 of the boss fights. If I end up doing a segmented run (which at this point will most likely be the case) I'll only be picking up 2 extra weapons who's names escape me at the moment. But if I go with a single segment run, I'll have to figure out how to get an automatic weapon at some point outside of the one from the Lysandar fight.

must be gettin' tired

This was a very good improvment to my last run. But there is more time to save. No 2 cycle Kaysen. Missing airship toilet jump. Bad train station fight rng. But the Dietrich quick kill was awesome because i never thought that this is possible.

I think there is one more question. Why NG+? Because the shooting sections in this game have a lot rng. So the run would just take longer without the Special weapons. Also the run is in my opinion harder on NG+. Getting quick kills in all three Boss fights is harder than it looks.

I made this back in 2013 but I never finished it because I get distracted easily. Here's the first stage. If I get around to it I'll upload some more stages for you to see if any of it helps.

Yeah it would be cool when more people running this game. Maybe there are things i never thought about. My sum of best is 1:16:57 right now for this category and with my strategies. But with an fresh mind maybe there is more to save.

A little explanation for this category. You beat the game and collect 125 garbology logs. But there are 128 logs in the entire game! Why you collect not all? Because for log 48 you need infinite mode. Which is an in game cheat that gives you all weapons with infinite ammo. And i think using in game cheats should not be allowed in a speedrun even when it's necessary to getting all logs. Log 123 and 125 are not collected because you would play through the entire game again. I think the category makes more sense/fun without obtaining this two logs.

Now for the run sub 1:25 is next goal. This is everything i have to say. But when maybe some glitch hunter seeing this. Please can you find a way to skip case 3 „loser in the sky“.

I'm fond of computer games but I've never tried to play this one. It seems to be very interesting.
