O Zlda?

I agree, this video would be a lot better with high-quality high-register sounds!

I think I'll make another version with completely uncompressed sound.  DRybes, could you work on the sound to make it meet your standards?

(link coming soon)

lol. if youre using virtualdub, make sure the sample rate is 44100hz (that old vid had a weird rate, like 44045 or something), and use the GSM codec. Good compression without loss. if youre not using Vdub or your mp3 codec is better than mine it might not matter... i trust your ears and judgement Smiley

EDIT: recently my audio on windows media player seems to be "faster" than the video. Basically it gradually gets ahead more and more, and after about a minute it is very noticeable. I just click the seek bar and it resyncs. Has anyone else had this problem or know how to fix it?

hehe... try a different media player like Media Player Classic...

Anyhow, does anyone know any genesis emulators with recording that can be sped up? I'll make a sonic 2 vid if anyone does know of any.

If I understood correctly, a human dares attempt Sonic 2 at 200% speed...

Anyway, here's the file using the GSM codec, aka the version I recommend:

wise fwom yo gwave
It would be a lot easier than trying to play with frame skip set at 0 on gens...

I tried that and used my last life at hill top 1.

everybody wanna tell you the meaning of music
I missed this thread in its heyday but it proves beyond a shadow of a doubt that Tom B and stanski are 2 of the coolest people at SDA. Smiley That SMB1 is funny and awesome too.

Back in the day (i.e. computers were slower), my bro would play F-Zero on ZSNES on fast forward. I always thought that was ridiculous but awe-inspiring, like it wasn't fast enough already.
He's back!
There is a rom that runs much faster than the offical version, I was able to beat the game in four mins  Shocked
