With all the ties to the Tech industry, as well as several other big name franchises that began here (MTG), it's pretty surprising that Seattle has yet to see a Speed Run Marathon. Not saying I am jumping into the shoes of a host of something like this, but I am curious, would there be interest for something like this? It's a pretty sweet area for this type of thing.

Problem is the location. That part of the US isn't the most densely populated area. If the event was big enough I'm sure you could attract some Californians and such, but Seattle is a bit of a drive for most people.

Seattle is great it's worth it to go visit even without a video game marathon Tongue
