Good point, although in some games DLC is a different run (Ala Borderlands 2 Mechromancer).

right im gonna jet, gotta eat then sleep for uni.

have fun re-routing, need to find out where the other armour patches for melee damage are
I pre-ordered the game, and I find the pre-order DLC popup to be more of an annoyance than anything. The armors don't have much affect since they get replaced relatively fast.

The only game changer I can see is the 10% fire damage Sorcerer Robes which will get replaced when you reach School Assault, and maybe the Holy Defender set ( adds  18 Armour and gives you a Sheild when below 15% ). If someone discovers something about stacking amour it may be big. But realize you will have to route change to pickup and the DLC gear from storage, since you can't do it until after the KKK training.

Overall I agree with Ryuken, since not everyone had pre-orded the game will have access to this.

Deadscale: Yes, if they add new content it will likely be a whole another run.
If you pickup the 10 Melee Damage Patch behind the BBQ after getting dragon fart.

Its only 1-2 seconds off the normal mage route but you get it all back in the alien fight since you can one shot the commander skipping his "You Have The Bridge" animation.

You also one shot the backline in cartman's room so if you miss the lamp trick you still won't lose time.

I haven't tested it any further than this. Going to try a full run now with this in mind.
I can definitely see it working cause u hit the grill first time u pass by and then grab it otw to the school nice find Im gonna test here in a few min as well

You can actually hit and fart realtively fast, might be better just to get it on the second pass in one sweep, saves you from walking up then down once.

I just hit a new PB using the new strat. 1:51:05 (+5). I made huge mistake not leveling up the stun ability for defense down, and that costed me 3-4 minutes, I had to reset Craig, and spend a few extra turns on fights (another 1-2 minutes lost).

With the new strat, you can ALMOST one hit the defense console with a tweak speed potion. Is there any other level 5/4 weapons that hit harder than the Alien Probe?

Edit: Sub 1:37 definitely possible, maybe 1:35 if you have perfect execution.
You can 1 shot the defense console if you take the alien helmet, 10% perfect attack badge at the school on alien probe. Just needs a strength potion to 1 shot it. The buff lasts long enough to 1 shot the captain so he will flee and next turn can kill the co-pilot
Thanks ogam, I forgot about the 10% perfect attack badge. I'll go re-route now to pickup the badge and alien helmet.

With what you said, it is very possible to use the tweak potion so you can one shot the console and the co-poilot. It will skip the "Make It So" move the co-pilot uses that puts your run at risk of dying if you miss one block.

I although the captain does the torpedo attack, which may be longer than "Make It So", I am not sure what will be better untill some trial.
I'm the man.......nothing else needs to be said
Torpedo attack is SLIGHTLY shorter than make it so, the only reason I originally routed to see "Make it So" instead was that the captain used it twice on my route
Well just finished my 2nd run in the new route and got a 1:44:24 and I defintely can drop that by another 5 minutes easily, I'm starting to think that keyboard may be overall faster. Things like as not having to do the frequency thing with nagasaki and quicker map movements may put it on top for over all speed

You can oneshot the alien defence matrix with the probe, speed potion ultra and having the all out of bubble gum perk (adds attack up on item use) (Unsure of the patches I had equipped, if they would make a difference though)

You can 2 cycle the Alien boss fight:

Speedpot + Power attack with alien probe to destroy matrix, then perfect left-click mongolian bow with bleed strapon on the pilot.
Speedpot + bow left click on co-pilot then Lightening Volt.

Had lvl 3 mage helmet, chest and lvl 4 elf gloves, perfect attack 15% on alien probe, bleed on bow, 10 melee attack and 5 range attack patches and All Outta Gum perk.

I couldn't find the perfect attack badge... but you might be able to do this with the shop 10shock badge + 10% perfect attack.

VOD: http://www.twitch.tv/tehphen/c/3858241 - Sorry for choppy video, I wasn't quite setup for streaming at the moment.. sorta put it together on the spot.

This was the best way I could come up with that still goes on the current "mage route":

Pickup the Tweak Speed Potion when your leaving tweaks. (+2 friends also, not sure if relevant.)
Pickup the 10 Melee Damage badge if you haven't already in your route.
Pickup the 15 Lighting Badge in the Lower Alien Terminal.
Pickup the Alien Headgear when you save Randy.

Enter Alien Fight with Probe + 15Lighting Badge + Alien Helmet + (10 Melee Damage badge).

Tweak Speed Pot + A strong attack will kill the console. Melee Strong Pilot. ( This will set the co-pilot to do one less attack animation.)
Speed Potion + DB Pilot, DB Co-Pilot.
Strong attack Co-Pilot.

Requires one less Speed potion, although now you need a Tweak Potion + Speed.
Two less DBs.
Co-pilot does one less attack animation (~4-5 seconds saved. WOW)
You won't risk dying anymore (well sortof, your allowed to miss 2/3 attacks that happen..)

Ninja Edit: I don't know where the 10% Perfect Attack badge is.. but it may be slightly faster to pickup that, and buy the 10 Shock Badge from the store.
Ninja Edit2: I'll likely do another speed run attempt at this tommrow with a few route changes to do the alienconsoleoneshot. I can likely give better numbers on time saved then..
Very rarely post here, and I don't plan on speedrunning this, but I came across something interesting while going for the Hoff achievement and noticed it's the same thing that happened in Ryuken's 1:41 video.

If you end up getting a game over after winning the Craig fight, run left and you can skip the entire Mr. Slave section.

The 10% perfect attack patch you can get in the school, in the room where you heal the kid for mr.mackys office key. It's on one of the dead gingers you kill by farting on the fireworks.

In regards to Stacking Armour. For a mage I see no point since you deal around the same damage with dragons breath anyway. But for a Fighter I currently use armour stacking and it helps a bunch. Having the DLC armour would make the early game flyby for the fighter

(by rough calculation until I get the SWAT armour the next day, I end up with 21 armour (wood elf armour + gloves + fighter helmet + 7 from patch. which is 8 + 3 + 3 + 7. Means I deal 21x3=63 extra damage per swing. With the holy defender robes I'd have 18+3+7=28 which means 84 extra damage all through the early game. Means I'd one cycle the console without any damage patches. I could probably 2 hit the hall monitor boss. and a bunch of other stuff)

Also if it happens in his video I might go see that cause skipping mr.slave would be quite big.

Any idea how to trigger it? Guess there's some experimenting to do
All I did was run straight to the next room and skip the cutscene.  I checked the video, and he did the same thing.
And by wonder. Did you one turn Craig?
I didn't.  He summoned clones twice.
Hmm... Well experimenting. If only he knew that he'd have cut his time by like... 20 minutes

A video of me 2-cycling the Alien Boss encounter.
Quote from 2bitmarksman:

A video of me 2-cycling the Alien Boss encounter.

This would work for 100% but for Any% doesn't getting the Bow more time then it saves?
Looked into the glitch a bit more.  Quickly moving to the next room will always trigger it.
Quickly moving after the fight with Craig? I'll have to try it. Nice glitch find though Cheesy
Nice find Groudon, I've had that happen to me too. I knew you could move before the cutscene happened, and trigered thr game over screen by walking into the door. I didn't know the trigger by the door gets removed if you trigger it just after Craig.

This makes me wonder about other possible glitches involving moving before cut scenes.  I've soft locked my game before by moving  just after aliens.  (Camera gets stuck before the south park intro, just after the phone call cutscene.)
Once more, I suggest you guys to make a backup of the game in case glitches get patched in the future. It cannot hurt to make one Wink

Im gonna get testing this glitch see If i can constantly do it. If so I'll see if it helps in other places although off the top of my head I can't think of anywhere

Edit : As far as it goes I can kill myself but I can't get it to remove the trigger, Just keeps killing me when I walk out the door. so no luck for me here.
