Sorting out SGDQ prizes and donation bids

My feelings on The Demon Rush

This is one thing I didn't during AGDQ, and it showed. While it wasn't too hard handling the prizes, there were some that got lost in the shuffle, and communication wasn't 100% clear on how to draw for all of the prizes.

Prizes: First and foremost, we will be using SMK's donation tracker to handle prizes and bids. Trust me, it's way better than using a google spreadsheet. http://inlovewithladyada.com/files/tracker-app.zip

It can now fetch donations straight from the chipin, so there won't be nearly as much manual data entry. The only thing we'll have to manually enter are bids, challenges, and prizes. When putting prizes into the donation tracker BE SPECIFIC. There aren't as many prizes here as AGDQ, but having prizes listed as x game picture 1 and x game picture 2 is not helpful at all. Mention the person who drew the picture, or at least something more descriptive.

Most prizes will be 5 dollars during the game or series to be eligible for the drawing, but the animation cels, katamari hat, and grand prize 3DS+OOT 3D will be 10-dollar entry. Also, I'm thinking the signed Brentalfloss CD should be 5 or 10 dollar buy-in during the entire NES block (Blaster Master to Super Mario Bros.). Is there anything else that should be 10 dollars to enter for?

Also, if I'm missing any prizes on the spreadsheet, tell me ASAP.

Bids/Challenges:

So far this is what I have.

Startropics: Bananawing Duckola vs. Piewexil

Metal Gear: Handgun-less vs. Handgun (should just be a donation goal for handgun-less?)

Mega Man 9: Buster-only vs. All weapons

Donkey Kong '94/Mario vs. DK: Donations for which game is played.

Castlevania SotN: Donation bids for cloak/bat wing color (to be worn halfway through the run). Donation mark ($100?) to watch the opening cutscene with Dracula at the start.

Castlevania DoS: Soma ng+ with warps vs. Julius mode

VVVVVV: Donations for all trinkets. Should this be 100% vs any% instead, since we did donations for trinkets the last time? If we do donations for trinkets, it should be 10 dollars per trinket instead of 5, because the trinket goal was reached insanely fast during jrdq.

Kingdom Hearts: BBS: Donations determine story. Essentia is considering taking donations for the final story since her estimate was super forgiving (she normally finishes with over half an hour to spare). If we take donations for the final story, it should be at least 200 or 300, IMO.

Toejam and Earl 2: Donations for whether Toejam or Earl is played.

Zelda: alttp: donations for any% or 100%, donations to name the file.

Kingdom Hearts 1 or 2: Donations for which game is played. If KH2 is played, I think we can take donations for extra worlds, correct?

Guardian Legend - Donations tiers for skipping additional (security) Blue Landers, up to three. (determine the amounts?)

Like the prizes, if I forgot anything then please speak up.

I edited the post for SotN. It's going to be a donation battle for cloak color, and I'm going to pick up the Joseph's Cloak and customize it about halfway through the run. I also want to put a price tag on watching the opening cutscene with Dracula since everyone loves it.

edit: this also affects what color the bat's wings are, since you'll be a seeing a lot of bat in the inverted castle.

edit 2: seawolf, since this isn't a game a lot of people necessarily know, maybe it can be something cheap, like $10, $20, then $30?

There are 6 worlds that aren't part of the Any% route, 2 of which are just minigames that don't give any items/abilities of value and wouldn't be much fun to watch IMO.

I just practiced the remaining 4 a couple of times and here are my estimates for each one. Since 3 of them need to be done in order, if we're going to do this I'd propose having each $50-100 (or whatever - it's a long game and the extra worlds would be added near the end, so I think the donation goal could be somewhat high) add another one.

Olympus Coliseum II (This can technically be done any time; but I think it should be first since it's the shortest and doesn't require a gummi route): 7 minutes
Pride Land I (including gummi route): 15 minutes
Pride Land II: 10 minutes
Space Paranoids II (unlocked after Pride Land II): 15 minutes

For KH:BBS, I'll definitely have time to do the Final Episode, no matter which story I do. I've also discovered that I can follow in Axel Ryman's footsteps and defeat some of the final bosses blindfolded, so we could take donation bids for that as well.

Tranq and I have both agreed that we could both kill Mother Brain any of the three ways I mentioned in this post. So having a bid war between those three is certainly feasible.

Of course, there should probably also be the bid war as to whether or not we save the etecoons and drachora.
