Yeah, I'll verify it. You'll be able to show me tricks I never knew of.

As a verifier, you might want to know something about the tricks used.
Yoshi's eggs are at my mercy!
I'd like to know what tricks you all speak of. In an any% I could see room for "tricks," but 100% requires those damn doors to open for the emeralds, thus wasting 2 laps gathering rings. I'm pretty sure this run is just a straight-foward well-done run. Nothing anyone whose actually beaten the game will learn from. Wink

(I'd love to be proven wrong.)
Wow, that's quite fast. This is on the mega collection right? (just asking in caise it maybe was on the saturn).
SEGA Junkie
Sonic R wasn't even on Mega Collection.

I suppose it could be on Gems Collection, but to my knowledge it's either not released or it has only been out a short while.
Sonic R is on Gems Collection

I realize i have a reason to correct myself. This is a SS of Grand Prix mode only. not Time Attack.
Yea, i ment gems collections. Sorry for the confusion Tongue

All I know of tricks are shortcuts.

Can't wait to play this game.

Actually this game was done incredibly poor. I just happen to get into it because I was young, dumb, and craving Sonic like a crack-addicted whore. Clunky controls, horrific graphics, lame physics system, about 3 of the racers're useless, etc.

However, I am also awaiting this speed-run. I'm curious as to what I never knew. Wink

I admit the 5 tracks left me wanting more, but the soundtrack, Love it. Radix has everything now so hopefully in the next few updates.
I like to move it move it!
Speaking of Gems Collection, anyone did a 100% run of Sonic CD (either by getting all the Time Zones or by going to the Past in all boards and making Good Futures)?

If anyone did, reply here or email me, and include a link of the video file... and I'll see if I can whip up a congratulatory artwork for you like I did for our good buddy David Gibbons for his 100% SMB3 run!
Who are you using for all the races?  I'm pretty sure Tails is really fast with flight shortcuts and all, but if you could race in ice all the time you might find advantage in others.

The fastest is definately Super Sonic.  Tails and Knuckles offer some great shortcuts.

I personally would like to see time trial mode done on all race tracks with all racers, at least with normal and reverse.  The other two (tag and balloons) are kinda stupid IMO.

I was working on this at one point...I might return to it later.

As I understand it, the objective of this run is to unlock all characters as fast as possible.

Super Sonic would, of course, not be able to be used until you get the seven Chaos Emeralds. That would take at least four races. (And for the purposes of this run, hopefully only four.)

Other than that, I'd use Sonic to unlock Metal first up on Resort Island, do the other three in any order with Metal, and use Super for Radiant Emerald (is it even necessary to run this level?)

I didn't quite get the purpose of what he's trying...I was thinking of a Mario Kart style listing (Individual courses, laps).

As for Radiant Emerald, I would classify it as a YES to run because...

A) It unlocks Eggman/Robotnik (whatever you want to call him).  As you said, "the objective of this run is to unlock all characters as fast as possible."
B) After racing it you get a "THE END".  So it creates a definitive end.

It would be tricky to get the coins AND the emeralds in one run/course since some of them go quite out of the way to mess you up.  I could whip up some maps if anybody needs it for coin/emerald locations.
SEGA Junkie
Ah, I completely forgot about Robotnik. My mistake.
Fucking Weeaboo
In Sonic R it's easy to forget about him.  He and Amy had the WORST racing machines.  They're so slow, it's like...why are they even in this game?
handicap maybe? Iono
I did complete it, but radix denied entry.
Fucking Weeaboo
I would guess he denied it because he wants do list the courses MK style...best course record, best lap record.  And hopefully allow multiple characters otherwise there's no point using anybody besides Sonic.

Though unlocking all the characters and getting all the emerlds in one run per course I know would be difficult and would love to see or attempt it.
