Sonic Adventure DX all stories run?

So I was thinking of doing an all stories run of SADX which isn't exactly my worst nightmare but I feel like there will be some parts that I need to figure out. My biggest turnoff is knuckles story and such. Also would I be able to restart the game to skip the credits for each character because we are talking about a good 3-4 minutes of just names here. I want to be pretty positive about this before I start running it.

Here's the scoop that I've got on this:

- First, Naegleria held a Segathon last week and two runners did a race of SADX All Stories. Sadly, Twitch pages aren't loading for me right now, so I can't find a video nor do I know if the race was recorded in Broadcasts or Highlights. That would be a good place to start for seeing a route organized.
- Second, if that can't be found, my best advice is arrange your route by which stories can be done the quickest after Sonic. It has been a while since I've played, plus I don't run the game, but from what I know from planning, I would do something like this: Sonic (cause the game forces you), then Knuckles due to horrible RNG with Emeralds. This way, if Knuckles goes shoddy, all you'd have to do is play Sonic again when resetting. After Knux, your own speed skills should determine the rest of your route
- Finally, this will probably be moved to Newer Consoles if you decide to do a run.

Yes, you'd be allowed to do that. Your run would be in the single-segment with resets category.

How do the stories in SADX work? You can pick which one you want from the main menu in any order?
Does something carry over between one story and the next when doing all stories runs? If not and they are completely confined we're probably only going to host each story separately.

Yeah, there's that, too. Good point, moooh! To answer the questions, Sonic has to at least be started if you were starting from a brand new file, because you don't unlock the other characters (aside from Super, which requires full completion of all six character stories) until coming across them in his Story. No, they don't carry over between stories, either. I guess the only option would be if we counted All Stories as a definitive 100% of the full game.

However, since the OP hasn't been back since originally starting this topic, they may not even be planning to do it for an SDA run. They may just want to know what to do. There's no other way to know, though, unless they come back.

I will probably do all of sonic's story first. Then do knuckles, tails, big, amy, gamma, and then super sonic.

I will try to make it an SDA run, my biggest problem with all stories is that knuckles story is all rng. Every other story can be routed and played consistently for the most part. Also, I will play straight through each story and then do whatever comes next. This run is basically a 2 hour glitch a thon.

Also, this can't be defined as a 100% run because that would involve all emblems, which would be hell. You would have to play through every level about 3 times and characters like big and knuckles would be inconsistent

I've only played the DC version, and some of the emblems in that one were chao races. that'd be a massive time right there, grinding your chao to win those ones.

Alright so I played some knuckles earlier and it seems that for the most part the first three levels can be beat sub 2 minutes and chaos 2 in about 1-1:30.

Yeah Orange, I am practicing just the Sonic Run right now. I was thinking an all story run would be interesting.
Make sure when you do Tails to get the Jet Powerup ASAP.
