I’ve recently come onto this website to see if I could Speedrun any games I own, and I shockingly found that a world record for Sonic 4 Episode 1 hasn’t been set since 2011, and to boot, every single record is held by one name- Paraxade. He set records that have stood for nearly a decade, and I am willing to take down every single record that has been set since 2010 and 2011. I believe I can humanly get extremely close to their theoretical limit. This might not be as big of a deal as taking down Matt Turks supreme reign in punch out, but this situation could be extremely similar if I could work hard enough and grind this game hard enough. I don’t expect to get any help, but I will do my best to break every record on the board and take out Paraxade.

Moved under "PC Games" seeing as most people seem to be running it on PC and made this into a topic thread for this game. Generally just need one, named whatever the game is called. Really doesn't seem like the Speedrun.com times (incomplete table) are any faster than Paraxade's, except maybe level 1? Some SDA records are really that good (and IMO competition is overrated in terms of what causes really fast runs to appear). Good luck with your attempts. You sound motivated. Feel free to post here whenever you like even though traffic on our site isn't so great. It might take you years to be able to take records, just like the Punch-Out people you mentioned, so if you ever wanna submit your runs on our site, don't rush it. Just wait until you've got as many as you'd like to / are able to take.
