SNES Cult Classic RPG relay: September 24th 2016

Heya everyone!
Some friends and I stumbled upon the idea of organising a relay race, similar to the Snes Final Fantasy relay. The idea is that there are a lot of beloved SNES JRPGs that aren't part of the final fantasy series that could use an event as well; notably, Secret of Mana, Earthbound, Super Mario RPG, and Chrono Trigger: (http://imgur.com/CutqkCu). The idea would be to get together 4 teams of 4 players, and have them race through these games. (Any% 1p2c -> Any% glitchless -> Any% No LSS -> Any%) And the first team to complete all 4 would win. We'd try and get this restreamed on twitch.tv/rpglimitbreak of course.

Relay Date: A Saturday in September / October 2016 [9/3 | 9/10 | 9/17 | 9/24 | 10/1 | 10/8 | 10/15 | 10/22 | 10/29] TBD based on submissions.
Team names and members to be determined.
Final team choices will be added to a discord server where we can work out the specific details of the event.

For SoM, we're down a runner since we did the Mana Relay back last November, but with a few months before this would be on, someone could easily get to a sub 2 level (coughBOWIEcough) to be qualified for this event. Anyone who would wish to learn SoM should contact either myself or Yagamoth, and we would be happy to teach you how to obliterate the game.

First of all, I'd like to thank everyone who signed up to run and commentate this event, you're all awesome, and the blood and soul of this event ;).

So, at this point, it's somewhat evident that there aren't enough runners to uphold the scope of a 4 team relay. After considering different options, we've come to the conclusion that downscaling to a 2 team relay is the best course of option at this point. (that is to say 2 teams of 4 runners, going through SoM -> EB -> CT -> SMRPG) As far as runner choice goes, based on the current PB balance, and having looked at some results on SRL (for earthbound specifically, because of how rng heavy that game can be), the runner choice is as follows:

Team A: Yagamoth - lltemple - Kehanort - LackAttack24

Team B: StingerPA - DanielRGT - SnesWarrior - Millnium

The team names are yet to be finalised, and I'd like to have y'alls input on that matter.
I've sent a whisper on twitch to all the runners, and to all those who submitted for commentary, and a potential backup runner position (this includes run submissions that aren't in the final selection), with a link to a discord server that we'll be using to plan some of the finer details that are left.
If you haven't recieved this invite, please message me on twitch, or twitter, or make a post here.

The final date is something else I'd like to convene with the rest of you upon.
