So yeah, i've recently bought Smash 4 (Super Smash Bros for the Nintendo 3DS) and i'm kind of disappointed to see that he's like Brawl, but even worst.

They've remove a lot of stuff and make it even slower, Dass dance and a lot of other stuff are gone (they was gone as well in Brawl). The online mode is better than the brawl one, but, it is still bad. But, this game 1 vs 1 mode is still okay, Smash run is very fun, Classic and All-Stars is great as well.

So what do you guys think, is Smash 4 good or bad?
Thread title:
Dash dance is in this game and in Brawl (its harder). Do a little more research before saying stuff you don't know.

Dash dance is still in smash 4, thanks for the info
Waiting for the Wii U version.  Personally I'd like to see the competitive community get the fuck over melee finally.
Dead Rising 3 Speed Runner
Competitive gaming will never change as dramatically due to games. People love SSBM too much and this goes along with other games such as call of duty and halo. If there is a big market there, MLG/eSports will always follow it.

Also. DuckHunt FTW.
words on words on words
It's really hard to play smash 4 to it's full extent on a 3ds. I'm so worried most of the time about breaking the circle pad that I restrict my tech skill, something I should never have to worry about.

I think the Wii U version will be a much better version to play simply because with gamecube controller capability, people will be able to push the limits of the game.

I think it's all right.  It plays better than brawl (no tripping, thank goodness), but here's my quirks/points of hate.
NO MORE DI.  When you've been used to DI for so long now and it's a totally new mechanic with vectoring.  It seems to make combos less effective at this point and less instinctive to survive large hits.  It's easy enough to get used to with time, but an annoying switch none the less.  I guess you can say the jury's out on this one, but it will change a lot.
Chain grabs aren't totally gone, but they sure tried to make sure they're impossible here in 4.  This is done by adding a time counter after a grab and you can't grab again for another second.  So far, any "chain grabs" aren't true chain grabs like in Melee with Sheik or Brawl with Pikachu's down throw, but more complicated and less effective.  (For example, one has been found with Sheik and it goes up throw, short hop, up air, attack cancel, grab and repeat.  Very difficult and not as effective as past chain grabs).
Ledge grabbing.  We've always known that if you grab a ledge, a second person can't grab on.  Not here in Smash 4 as if you're on a ledge and a  second person grabs it, the first person is simply forced off.  This is going to totally change edge guarding.
These changes are annoying as all get out if you're a veteran of ANY smash game.  I still say it's better than Brawl, some characters are still broken (Little Mac is a beast, even with his horrid recovery, Rosalina and Luma is amazing amount with the sheer amount of spacing options from the control of two characters wherever you want them and is my main atm.  Bowser redesign is fantastic, Duck Hunt Dog is amazingly fun.)  So, in short, it's still a Smash game, it's still fun.  There are some things in it that are stupid, some things that are a breath of fresh air.  Some characters are clearly very good already, some not so much and only time will tell who really the best characters truly are.  If you just play the Smash games for fun though, YOU WILL ENJOY SMASH 4.
I still say it's good, but not living up to the massive hype train that came before it.  And, Rosalina FTW.
They/them
I, for one, reject any notion that different tuning ruins a fighting game sequel. I'm a very competitive fighting game player (FPS games as well), but I feel that when you invest yourself so heavily in one title that you can't play any newer versions, you're the engineer of your own frustration.
Gotta go fast!
I really like Smash 4 personally and don't think change is a bad thing. I even like that it is harder to kill people now cause I think it makes the matches more interesting. I also think I am going to be one of the only people wanting to try Smash 4 with the Wii U Pro Controller. I prefer the ABXY button layout to that of the GC controller because it makes using a button to jump a lot nicer than on a gamecube controller. The problems with Smash 4 3DS are the same as any fighting game will have on a handheld console. Too small a screen and limited controls.

I am one of those people that do not think Melee deserves the praise it gets. Personally, I think the game was fantastic back in 2002 but 12 years later it is aged. The game is not balanced, the physics are not the best and the main competitive mechanic in the game was accidentally introduced. Yes Smash 4 is different but I think it is still a solid fighting game and anyone expecting Melee on the go has clearly not paid attention to anything we were told about the game.

Part of a balanced breakfast.
The roster is the best I've ever seen. Feels a lot more balanced than previous iterations, with the exception of Bowser being totally broken.

The single player modes are bad, though. Classic doesn't feel right anymore, where continuing drops your difficulty, and Smash Run is just plain horrible.

I agree the Wii U version will be superior. Sadly, I don't own a Wii U and won't be able to tell if it's any better. This is still a pretty good game, though.
I am with Cooper, it is much more balanced.  In all of the past Smash games I could pick out most of the best characters very quickly.  This time it is not so obvious.  I do get the feeling that something is missing, ya know?  Like there was some sort of overarching adventure mode in the last two (literally adventure mode in Melee, and The Subspace Emissary in this one).  I am guessing that may be saved for the Wii-U version?  The only thing close to that in this is classic, and there was classic in every other iteration anyway.

Great! Love it. The speed is really good, now quite as fast as Melee but it's still great. Game appears to be well balanced and the character and levels are top notch. Excited to see how this game progresses into the future with WiiU version, meta games, and amiibo.

You mean you don't enjoy tournaments of 64 people where 53 of the players are space animals?

The speed is the best part of the game. Personally speaking, I think it's pretty good.

Good job Greenalink

Quite good. I thought I was pretty much done with Smash after Brawl and then they went and put Mega Man in it so what choice did I really have

Love the concept and most of the execution with custom moves, the best thing they ever added to Smash (well, now second to Palutena's Guidance in the Wii U game), but good fucking god unlocking them all was a shit. Now I'm grinding for the last few hats to get my last challenge panel, whoever decided being able to get duplicates of moves/outfits/hats is a bad person who should feel bad.

Also, Gordo Throw is my favourite Smash special move ever. I do like how the heavyweights have become much improved (at least, it feels like they have. tbh, I haven't played Melee or Brawl for a long time, but I very much do not recall Dedede being very good in Brawl).
WHAT
dedede was abused in top play because of his chain grab on the majority of the cast, and two moves that were reliable for killing with minimal lag. he has been far improved in this game, as have just about every other member with issues

this is my favorite iteration in the series. the characters i used prior have all gotten little tweaks that make them better (i especially love the biggest improvement to ness's recovery: hit a wall at a mostly horizontal bent, and if you react within the first handful of frames you can use ANOTHER pk thunder to bring yourself safely back to the stage instead of bouncing off and plummeting to your death). yoshi is a beast now, as is charizard. doctor mario is just as fun as he was in melee. i'm also incredibly fond of wii fit trainer, bowser junior, duck hunt, villager, and pac man. so many characters feel good to play as instead of just one or two like in all the prior games
smash 4 is irrelevant since brawl minus will always be best smash
1-Up!

This is incredible. I don't have the patience for smash run AT ALL. I'm glad it won't be in the Wii U version.
