Simple Speed Tricks
-When someone speaks, hold down the A Key.
-Hold down the A Key to run, and try to grab the green fruit to fill up your stamina meeter.
-You can run further in deep sand if you hold A for a short time instead of keeping it held down.
-Using a zombie moblin, you can sprint up a higher wall if you sprint as he's pushing you against the wall.
-You can go through floors by using your Hookshot at the vines at certain angles.
-Using the Skyward Strike at a close up targeted enemy, you can attack higher obstacles. One examples are the green vines.
-Press forward Z+A while collecting a treasure it will not run the cutscene.
-BIT glitch. Save at a statue. Kill yourself. Reset the Wii as you choose continue. Walk around in Skyloft(you will see a title screen) look for a Bird Statue. The Statue will affect your X,Y,Z location. In BiT, select the file and save at an owl statue while loading the file with the same A press. Try different bird statues to see the differences. Some BIT warps will put you in bad locations.

I was wondering, should only hero mode be only used as a speed run quest?
If you can get rid of all your treasure and bugs(if needed), your basically starting from scratch.
At the same time you can skip a lot of cut scenes which would make the run a lot more interesting to watch.
Also, it's more of a challenge since enemies do more damage and there's no lose hearts.

Unless if we find some super major sequence breaks, the regular mode will be quite boring to watch!

Oh GOD! I've been having so much fun with this game. I apologize in advance to all haters, but this is easily the best Zelda since OoT. TWW is a close close second, but damn this game is fun. Skyloft doesn't have much going for it, but once you get on the ground...things get great. I upgraded my beetle to carry bombs, and I was having fun all night. The GF was also pretty amused.

The game is pretty linear, but I can contend with that. I think that with the time I have, I'm better left not guessing where to go. 9/10.

That's pretty impressive, 29 hours for me with very little deviating from the main plot.

Heh, I'm way off with about 35 hours. I will agree with others though in saying, this is the the best game *at least* since OoT, and possibly the best Zelda game period. Absolutely fantastic.

I have a sort of love/hate relationship going on with these branch sites. I love that die-hard fans and fans alike can go and find these sites much easier than SDA (m2k2 is my love), but I hate that we all have to go to an altogether separate site to follow speed run info. I guess I should just quit being lazy....

It's all about organization.
I posted some more types of tricks people found.
The fact they found ways to make Link jump higher has some great possibilities. Even if we are forced to do every dungeon, it won't take too long if we can skip most of the dungeon since all dungeons are quite short.

Was there an enemy next to Link?
I have not tried it but by using an enemy's barrier it can be used to get some extra height.
