Like I believe many people here, I have a fond memories of banging my head against the classic Sierra adventure games for hours on end back in the pre-internet days.

Every now and then I've noticed someone running one of the old Sierra games on twitch and out of curiosity I've asked if they would be interested in running it in a casual marathon sometime.

So far a couple of people said they would, so I thought I'd make this thread just to see if we could get enough people together to make it worth it.

Here's a list of the core titles. If there is a game that you might be interested in running, just reply and I will tag it even if there's already a name attached to it.

This is all very casual so don't worry if you haven't routed and drilled a game. These are generally short games without much randomization so it's pretty easy to get through quickly once you know what to do. And also since most of the fun comes from showing all the messed up ways of dying and failing in these games, gunning for world record times probably won't be a concern.

King's Quest Series:
King's Quest: Quest for the Crown
King's Quest II: Romancing the Throne
King's Quest III: To Heir Is Human
King's Quest IV: The Perils of Rosella
King's Quest V: Absence Makes the Heart Go Yonder!
King's Quest VI: Heir Today, Gone Tomorrow - Sambrea
King's Quest VII: The Princeless Bride
King's Quest: Mask of Eternity

Space Quest Series:
Space Quest: The Sarien Encounter
Space Quest II: Vohaul's Revenge
Space Quest III: The Pirates of Pestulon - Northern
Space Quest IV: Roger Wilco and the Time Rippers - Northern
Space Quest V: The Next Mutation
Space Quest 6: The Spinal Frontier

Police Quest Series:
Police Quest: In Pursuit of the Death Angel
Police Quest II: The Vengeance - Northern
Police Quest III: The Kindred

Quest for Glory Series:
Quest for Glory: So You Want to Be a Hero
Quest for Glory II: Trial by Fire
Quest for Glory III: Wages of War
Quest for Glory IV: Shadows of Darkness
Quest for Glory V: Dragon Fire

Gabriel Knight Series:
Gabriel Knight: Sins of the Father - ZachSK

Gabriel Knight: The Beast Within
Gabriel Knight: Blood of the Sacred

Misc Titles:
Gold Rush - Northern
Freddy Pharkas: Frontier Pharmacist - Sambrea

There are many other adventure titles that Sierra produced, so if there's a game you're interested that's not on the list, just let me know and I will add it.

Almost all of these games are available on GoG. Just filter the developer field by Sierra.  http://www.gog.com/catalogue

Thanks for stopping by.

I am disappoint from the severe lack of the Lords of the Realm series not being on this list. :p Lords of the Realm 2 is the only Sierra game I have, unfortunately it doesn't meet the criteria of "quick," as this game would take forever to do.
What about the remakes? They are fan games but are officially endorsed...

I say they're fine, they'll work better on modern computers anyways
I would watch the shit out of this
I'd definitely tune in for my old faves. I was always a Phantasmagoria fan if anyone wanted to pick that up.

Feudal Family Lord
i have one of the Gabriel knight games on GOG ... if its not too long, i could find a route to it

EDIT: sins of the Father
I would love to participate. I'd have to get it from gog first, but I could do King's Quest 7. =)
The Colonel's Bequest -- my absolute favorite. Not available on Steam/GoG as far as I know; however I can run this (and others) with video output on my trusty 386 Wink

Space Quest: The Sarien Encounter -- I can run the original, non-VGA-remake version.

If you have little or no feedback on this, let me know, as I'm always willing to do new adventure game runs Smiley
Smörgåsbord
Good stuff, non of these will be on the Ludendi Adventure Marathon so looking forward to this. Do not take Halloween as a date though. :3
I always support adventure game speedruns. I would love to participate if possible, although I would have to purchase one of those games from GoG before I could do anything.
Worthless categories WR master
I would've done King's Quest VI, it's been a favourite of mine for a long time. I'll definitely watch the run though.

I've started a new thread for this since I haven't heard from Northern for a while with a new updated games list.

Mattmcgrath - The Colonel's Bequest is Laura Bow right?

MaturedSinner - You are more than welcome to pick something to participate with.

Bismuth - How about a race between us?
