So i'm thinking about driving up there from Maryland on that Saturday with my brother. We will then stay till Sunday (as of now). So two parts, one is we would like 2 people to room with us, and we could pick up like 2 people on the way there (obviously with them helping pay costs we will drive) depending on amount of luggage (got a kia rio). So in conclusion.
July 25th - Aug 2 (though may be willing to leave a day early)
Need 2 I can book if needed
Leaving from MD going through PA -> Ohio -> Indiana -> Illinois -> Wisconsin (This will be a 16 hour or so trip for me more if traffic so i can't really go too far out of the way)

I have a question. Are roommates mandatory for the hotel due to how many folks will be attending? I don't mind paying the full cost of the room for myself.

I don't believe so. I know some people had only 2 people in their room, but you could always just get a 2 person room and pay for that yourself instead of getting a 3-4 person room. The rooms are the same price I think, but the 2 person is a king bed instead of 2 queens.

If you'd like a room to yourself that is perfectly fine. There are no rules on people getting their own room. Most attendees just prefer to split the hotel cost and find roomates.

If you wanted mind updating on your first post what Dolfihn posted, Klaige. So it doesn't get lost. Still looking for two people, not three and different dates as both of us have responsibilities and can't stay past the date of our runs.

Thank you Klaige and sagev3. I plan on doing a little more research at the moment since I still feel like more of a "fan of speedrunners" than an actual speedrunner, but I intend to go for at least a few days.

I will likely book a hotel room in my name, but if anyone needs a roommate, I will be happy to accommodate.

So I guess I'm trying to go. Tentative post to see if I'll be able to find roommates and make my decision easier. No preference for roommates. Staying 25-2(checking out super early for flight but with 4 people on the reservation y'all should be fine till noon). Can book.

If I met you at AGDQ or I know you from twitter, that's kinda preferable(last roommate experience was neither here nor there) but I really don't mind. PM me.

Edit: btw does anyone know if this hotel has BATHROOM DOORS?

I have an existing room reservation with some other people starting the 25th but could only get a flight for the 24th. Does anyone have a room starting the 24th but with some person/people arriving late? If so, would they mind having me crash the one night?

My room and I have a problem. In the OP it says you have to be 18 to register for a room and check in, but when you go to their website it says you need to be 21 to reserve a room (it's at the bottom).

Plus, the person who was going to book for us tried to do it the other day, so he called in and they told him he couldn't reserve a room because he was underaged. All of us who are staying together are all under 21. What should we do lol

From what I understand, you are allowed to be 18 to book a room through the SGDQ registration. That may be a fabricated memory, but I remember that being something I read. Was this person sure to tell the person he called that he would be a part of the event?

- You must complete the certification in the Terms and Conditions on the payment page to reserve a room. ALL THAT MATTERS IS THAT YOU ARE AT LEAST 18 YEARS OF AGE. YOU DO NOT NEED SOMEONE WHO IS 21+ TO CHECK IN WITH YOU, BUT YOU MUST CHECK THE BOX ANYWAY TO PROCEED. We have this agreement with the hotel in writing, and there will not be any problems for SGDQ attendees who do not have an adult who is 21+ in their group.

Two things, i'm no longer going to drive up, and secondly i'm only going to be there from the 25th to first now due to some cheaper plane tickets. It'll still be me and my brother so will need 2 people all the same.

Update we only need 1 more person for 25th to first most likely.
