well I should've clarified, I want 1 room with double beds for my mates and myself and I was only getting the king bed option.  that was yesterday as I checked today and they dont even have that available.

Anyone still looking for a hotel room, we are in the planning stage for an overflow hotel nearby. We need assistance though, to find out how many more rooms we need to reserve. Anyone who still needs a room, please fill out this form immediately. Cutoff is tomorrow morning, as listed on the form.

No. We'll announce the hotel once we have the place contracted (I don't like to announce anything until it's in writing). That hotel (along with every other connected by skyway) is booked completely solid for most, if not all the days of the event.

If anyone cancels a room, they're supposed to put it in our group block. That said, it's pretty much a gamble on when/if any rooms open up. Congrats on your gambling Tongue

I think I remember something mentioned about shuttles going from MSP to the hotel unless i dreamed that... How exactly will this work for both the crowne and this new hotel (I'm staying at crowne but might as well ask for both if other people need the information)

Unfortunately if you're in the overflow you will need to arrange your own transportation.

We will be making announcements for shuttle service at the beginning of next week, we have been obtaining quotes all last week and weren't able to finalize one before the end of the day on Friday.

Also, we will be sending out an email blast to all registered attendees that contains as much information as possible about the event, including shuttles. Expect that email by the 20th.

I can offer to drive people in from the airport if needed. Google maps says it is a 20 minute drive between the airport and venue. Though without the volunteer schedule, I am not certain what times I will be available. Depending on luggage, I should be able to squeeze 3 or 4 people in at once.

The GDQ website does mention a shuttle under the overflow hotel info:

That was probably from the original hotel info on getting there from the airport, but it reads like it's a shuttle from the overflow to the main.

Yes, sorry, my other post wasn't clear.

Basically, the overflow hotel said they can shuttle you to the event hotel. But I do not believe they offer shuttles to the airport. Our shuttle arrangements will be for the main hotel. If you really want, you can go from the main event hotel to the overflow, as our airport shuttles are privately contracted and not part of the Crowne. That's up to your own arrangements though and if you really want to go from the airport, to the Crowne, to the overflow.

Also, our privately contracted airport shuttles will only run on the weekends (highest traffic time for the event by far).

We will also have a group discount for Super Shuttles. We are arranging an email blast for all attendees with all this in detail.
