Running and Watching GDQs since 2012
I seriously haven't heard ANY mention of the SDA forums at any point in the current SGDQ stream session. In fact, I don't think i've heard it for the past couple or more of GDQ's in general. Are the actual charity and other sponsors favored more or is it just pointless to mention the forums anymore?

It shows up from time to time on the sponsor ticker at the bottom left this year, IIRC. There's also, of course, shoutouts from the runners.

GDQ became its own entity starting sometime in 2014 (I thinK) and the references to both SDA and SRL have dropped significantly since then. Also, while the SDA forums are still being used for GDQ planning purposes, there has been a shift to having the announcements about the marathon appear solely on the GDQ site and social media.

Not necessarily. The idea was to move GDQ from being seen as an SDA event and/or an SRL event  to being a GDQ event. GDQ got to the size where it had to be its own entity. We could see the less amount of GDQ announcing here and the shift to submitting games there instead of here as decline but it is growth on GDQ's part.

Remember, ending decline and starting rising takes time and there may be small dips.
