Unfortunately, no, the games rulebook is layed out pretty terribly. If enough other people have interest I could make a simple reference guide detailing basic actions, and I'd even be happy to put down some notes about the probabilities of some common actions.
A really good rule-of-thumb for the game, though, is that you need to get a 7 on your stat+roll, with the most basic of actions (dodges, picking up a ball that isn't bouncing, ect) giving an extra +1. As far as tackle zones, they almost always give a -1 modifier for each tackle zone.
Just a reminder that if you want to be in the weekly league, you have to have signed up both through me and in-game by TOMORROW. The freeplay league will remain open to anyone and everyone.
I was wondering if I would be able to join your league.
I am an old roommate of Rane's seen the community for awhile never really posted anything on it although if I am able to join the league I might start planning a speed run or at the very least posting on the boards.
If so forum name and in game blood bowl name is Loradin, and my skype information is sslafsky. Thanks.
The league is locked in and week 1 is ready to go. You have until Weds, May 1st to finish your match. If you can't get in contact with them, let me know so I know who is missing before the last minute.
It's a pity this got going before I (a) started my comeback and (b) got through the worst of my last real semester in college.
I would ask to be in the freeplay league since that still looks open, but my college's connection sucks AND I still need to get a good handle on the workings of the game before I'll be ready. (And also to decide whether I'm going with a Skaven, Lizardman, or Necromantic team.)
We are also planning on doing a speedplay league sometime soon. Elf teams only, 40 second turn limits. Because we are going to try to knock it out in one day, it will be organized entirely through the #bloodbowl channel on the SDA IRC. We do not have a set date yet, either.
If anyone's still looking to get a copy of the game, an indie bundle site called Groupees has Steam keys for Legendary Edition along with other stuff with any $5 or more purchase.
