Hi! I'm andrewg!

I still need to make tests to perfect the route for this, but it's REALLY straightforward, even more so than the Mario games. I think I may try something new as far as planning goes. I might start applying this idea I have to all my future runs.

My idea is something I don't think any other speedrunners have really gone about doing, surprisingly.

I'd say a real perfect time would probably be 9:33 or 9:34. Maybe it could go lower though, there is always potential for a lower time. Well, almost always.

And on this thread's 100th post, I promise to not post here again until I am submitting a run.

I have seen other speedrunners be ambiguous before. How bout letting us know what you will be doing?

Nice run, Androoge. Your stage-two boss fight was a real whirlwind. When you were near the end of stage five, I was all like, "No grenades?" in a surprised tone. And then you dominated the boss fight with much machismo.

Did my new personal best. My previous record year 2010 ended 10:24. 11 years late i did come back and Got 10:15, 10:02 & finally break my first sub 10 minutes goal and got 9:56 run.

9:56 (estimate 9:56.7x stopwatch timer) I still might aim even better run, but have to practice some harder and faster strategys.

Itse never too late make comeback speedrunning.:)

I think i am bit too lazy improve hard time like this. Its might requires me full time job running that fucking game thousands times. Who know, probably some days. IIRC current console WR run is 9:33. Its whole 8 seconds faster than SDA run.

But however i did improve my own PB 5 & half seconds. 9:51:3x. Its let 10 seconds behind SDA run, but that was really hard to make. Spend 3 days attempts redo my 9:56 and also a lot emulator practice. Some trick make my own style, cost time, but improve my consistent.

9:49.7x stopwatch timer. Checkout frame counter timer its barely sub 9:50

Some bad level 2 boss RNG. Level 3 used 2 seconds slower safety strategy, this ladder trick caused me too still much troubles consistent. Level 4 used 1 seconds faster lower route. Level 5. Im not intention manipulate grenade guy, but because he appeared, i pick up greandes quickly and make easier boss fight. Level 6 was probably most rude part entire run. Just stuck with ladder and major stop rightbefore end. I think i could make 9:45-9:47 using thats strarts. I also kill most yellow guys with stoppings. I never can knew did those shootings or not. Its cost just some frames per guy.

1.5 seconds imrpove my PB and around 8 seconds slower than SDA run. I´ll keep going redo that yet and hope next time 9:45-9:47 range. Then i have to start learn some harder strategys. Especially level 3 ladder trick.

Nearly 3 seconds imrpovement over previous run which actually ended 9:49:92 That was teh urn. Nearly everything goes well i planned. Only visible mistake happen level 4. Otherwise this run could be improvement mostly when you use faster & harder strategys. Probably biggest time saver in future might are level 3 ladder route (2-3 seconds) Otherwise just more riskier yellowguys non stopping and less land cancels here and there.

Rightnow that was really godlike run for me. 72 attempts and 4 & half hours recorded in this morning.
