I may be wrong, correct me if so, but I'm always skeptical of videos that don't start with the title screen. Because isn't that when a TAS shows the replay count? There was a guy trying to pass off some Mariokart videos as non-TAS on youtube I found while running that game, that used the same sleight of hand.

I'm pretty sure it's tool-assisted, and I didn't even watch a thing. I'm basing that completely off his list of videos, which includes stuff like Metroid. I doubt some 18yo has records in all these different games.

Sad your tape got ruined, but hopefully you not still are lost all your motivations. Because we surely wanted see your run if you can got 9.45 or even under it. Wink

Yesterday i make my own personal record 10.59 (no deaths) I see im not are superb like you guys, anyway my run is up on youtube if someone care. This is nice game, but extremely frustrating and random running. Many things can went wrong. Roll Eyes

Well, after my 9:45, I haven't made many attempts. It really is a shame. Undecided

I'm not sure how soon I'll do a new speedrun of this, but when I decide to, I'm going to definitely aim to beat my 9:45.

Yeah done with emulator but i used real console games speedrun rules. I agree this is not SDA stanard, but it is quite good run or at least very good playthrough. Game is so great and i like play it and watch runs. And i´ll maybe improve that in future.

I as well hope see new rush attack run in SDA. I at least can verifer it. Wink

I just got a new run in 9:46. This could have been a 9:41 run, but I lost about five seconds during the second boss fight.

Edit: Awwwww yyeeeahhh. I just got a 9:40 run. I'll submit this one.

The TAS does use two players, so, yeah, it's not entirely comparable to a one-player run.

Posting again because I fixed all my DVD issues! Smiley

I'm so happy! Alright, so this is definitely 9:39 which beats the current SDA run by 2 seconds. I am going to see if I can improve it further, otherwise, I will submit this run:

Alright, so now that this has been fixed, that means my Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde run can be fixed as well - I need to re-encode that.

ARGH!

I can't quite manage to get the run I want. I can't figure out why I'm getting such poor luck at portions, or whether these outcomes are due to something specific I'm doing earlier. For example in the last stage, I cannot figure out why a yellow shooter shot at me halfway through while in the SDA run, this doesn't occur. I have to guess it is either a luck factor or has something to do with the number of enemies killed.

I think it may all be controllable, but I'm not sure.
