I cannot get quake to work on win XP. I just get this kind of message with all .exes:

"WINQUAKE.EXE has encountered a problem and needs to close.  We are sorry for the inconvenience."

Please help! Thanks...

Have you tried installing the latest driver for your graphicscard?

You said you had tried all .exe's, does that include JoeQuake?

I love YaBB 1G - SP1!
Try running wq in safe mode. Try disabling sound, d_input etc. You've probably tried it though. GLQuake aint half bad when you get it properly set up. I just moved from wq to GL.
