Quote from PreddY:
wasnt that final charge slash on freudia a bit late?

Maybe, I missed a few slashes and I didn't use the rage instant charge, so it's definitely not one of my best fights.

Quote:
was that luck or purpose on liebea bossfight 1? ^^

Heh, I certainly didn't plan on it if you refer to how I managed to corner myself like that. I didn't lose any time, though, so it hardly matters.[/quote]

Quote:
was that bad luck with the zombie in sepp3 or is it based on your timing?

I didn't fit through the upper opening for some reason, so I tried to climb the ladders and failed to get up in time. Poor timing.

Quote:
that looked kinda lucky on sepp3 boss ^^

I thought of that technique (similar to your Lilli use) so I planned to do that, but yeah the final blow was a bit too close to comfort.

Quote:
nice spider fight, with a bit more luck you couldve spared that tank right?

Maybe, but I didn't want to risk that and I wanted to be able to go as far as I could with the extra slashes, so I think of it more like a sound investment.

is there any chance you might be able to upload this to youtube? It looks/sounds really cool. Smiley

If he'll give me permission, I can gladly record it and upload it to Youtube for those who'd prefer.

I would appreciate it if you could record it for me so I can put it on my account. You can put it to FileFront or wherever. I can't record it myself because my hardware is inadequate.

I'll record it now and runs it through Movie Maker and split it into 10 minute intervals for you just in case you don't have the old director's account on Youtube(The one that allows you to put the video over 10 minutes). I'll also hide the FPS/Timer during the run till the end.
I'd encode it and split it with mkvmerge... Chances are you'll lock yourself in in M$ crap when using movie maker.
fucking .gif....
trying to watch cremator's grolla run but it keeps desyncing for me...anyone know why?

What version of the game are you running, as well as settings in the Options menu? I'm running 1.06A with the default settings and it works just fine.
I use version 1.05a. Any earlier versions might have some differences (I know there are some fairly substantial revisions from 1.00(a)), which would cause a desync in playback. My version is also untranslated; translated version might also cause a desync, although I suppose it should be unlikely.
Dragon Power Supreme
Those are great news.  PreddY's RKS speedrun was fantastic (I still watch it to this day) and I'm really looking forwards to seeing this one on SDA as well.  Very well done!

oh ok.

I have v1.00a Sad

thanks
You can find the updates here: http://kurotama.sakura.ne.jp/product/rks/ -> downloads
And where's the video of that SS Grolla run?
I was wondering the same thing. How's the encoding going, Ryman?

Meanwhile, I improved PreddY's Freudia stage by about six seconds, so this is about 1:53.04. It's probably possible to shave a second or two, but the boss fight is so ridiculously luck-ridden that I simply couldn't get all the pieces together. I tried until my controller retired itself, so I can't do any more tries until I've got another one working well enough, and that'll take a while. Until then...

Ok, if help is still needed I think I can record the replay and upload it to FileFront.

Hasn't been too good. Game starts lagging when you're climbing up the 2nd ladder in the 1st stage, at least with FRAPs. I tried Camtasia but it couldn't save it.
Ok then, I'll record it. What shall i do then, post links here or PM them you, 65?
Whichever suits you better is fine with me.
I'm just not sure that FileFront won't delete the files after 5 downloads or something like that. There are 4 parts, 8 minutes long and 200-250mb each. Looks like I overdid with the compression a bit so they lag during playback and audio goes out of sync but that's just my weak P4 and they will be fine after they get youtubed. I tried to use youtube friendly codecs.

Video and sound is fine (no desync).
But why did you put H264 in an avi container? Putting H264 in an avi file is a bad idea. It's a hack at best.
You should probably have used a better audio format, too. MP3 is pretty old and pretty weak.

But the run was fantastic.

So, who is going to up them to YouTube?
Thank you for your swift effort with the encoding, KhanFusion. I appreciate it.

Alright, I've uploaded them to YouTube. As long as YT doesn't throw a tantrum with the re-encoding, everything should go fine. Here're the links (some of them are not yet processed by YT, but will be available later):

Really? I have little to none experience about encoding and stuff, so I was like a monkey on this one. This page http://www.google.com/support/youtube/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=132460 says H.264 and MP3 are preferred, so I clicked H.264 and MP3. Then I had to encode and save the vid so I clicked the only option I know that does that: "save as avi"...And it turns out I was hacking.  Grin  But YT seems to overcome it and youtubefied videos look ok.

to65, you are welcome. I was actually surprised that my PC pulled it off relatively effortlessly. The game itself turned out to be a bit naughty but it went fine overall.
Hrm, yeah. They turned out okay. Good thing that.
The audio came up a little short at the boss selection screen, though. Was AAC not an option?
But basically, YouTube eats anything that can be re-encoded. So far as I know, anyway.
H264 + AAC + MP4/MKV (container, like avi) is the preferred formats, just so you know.

ARghh, fuck, no. I haven't noticed it before, and it looks (sounds) totally ugly, it burns my eyes and ears even more than last ten seconds of battle against Tia. I had some problems with AAC (didn't show up in the list or smth, i dont remember already) and LAME MP3 installed smoothly. I don't know what I was thinking about, I was about to leave (and should have left)  audio uncompressed at all (it doesn't take that much space). Ok, I think I can reencode it (and cut it into pieces more accurately, btw), will you take time to reupload them, 65?
Why would a reupload be necessary? It's only YouTube.
The audio quality in the original encodes was bad. Hence YouTube's would be too.
Ok, that's your call.
Meanwhile I beat Zorne!  :D;D
Just posting to remind you that the run needs verifiers.
