I have a new PC, woot! Finally I can look for skips with decent framerates.

@SamuraiiBlue @MrTau The miniboss skip is back! Great work!

@Aphox Awesome Fire Arrows skip! Also, it gave me an idea for a new skip:

The video is long so just make sure you don't miss the load trigger @5:55. From 7:50 onward it's just normal playthrough.

I just discovered this so there's still a lot I don't know or sure about:
1. The framerates required for the barrier clip - I was able to do it with 180 FPS but not 150. Then again maybe I just don't have the right setup yet.
2. Is it necessary now to pick up the pistol during prison break, since you don't get one from Ana anymore? I had the pistol in my savefile so I need to start again from an earlier one to find out.
Also, is it possible to pick up the pistol and then do the clip?
3. In theory the skip is possible as soon as you get to Geothermal Valley, but I didn't try it without the Grappling Hook since I just assumed I'll get stuck somewhere. But maybe it's worth a try I don't know.

So what's the time save? It took me:
From campfire after the Acropolis to the barrier - 1 minute.
Clipping the barrier - hard to estimate since I don't have a proper setup yet. Let's say you can realistically do it within 1 minute. Optimal time would be much shorter.
From barrier to puzzle - 3 minutes.
Solving the puzzle - 3 minutes.

Also:
Getting Climbing Arrows early - 30 secs loss according to Leemyy.
Not doing prison break/pistol skip - 1 minute 30 secs loss.

Overall 10 minutes. In the WR video it took Lillbrorsan 13 minutes to get from the post-Acropolis campire to the end of the puzzle.
So on average we're looking at a 3 minutes time save.

On an unrelated note, I'm not sure if the following OOB can turn out to be useful but I'm posting anyways in case anyone wants to take a look:

I accidently cut the video a little short - Lara dies and it sends you back to the campfire in the prison. I suppose the first clip is nice if you get it first try.
@eydas did you try clipping under the observatory after you clipped the barrier?
the double tap aim thing doesnt seem to work on XBO. I dont know why it would work on PC and X360 but not XBO, so I'm going to assume I'm doing something wrong for now.  FPS is on average 2-3 higher on XBO than 360, but things are loaded slightly differently on 360 as well... Samuraii, any particular doors I should test?
I was practicing Gate of Kitezh and trying to clip through the gate instead of going up through the death floor at the end. While doing what I normally do for clipping wasn't working, I messed around with the camera and get this other result. Not sure if it's just a fluke, that I'm actually getting the clip or if I'm doing something my own weird way... My PC runs the game a little under 60 FPS.

@Eydas good stuff! I will have a look at that OoB next week... I really don't like that part... unless someone has already figured it out by then of course

@brass An alternative to double tap aim is to just let go of aim once. What you have to figure out is the timing when you hold aim again. So try out different timings 0.1s 0.2s 0.3s etc... this works a lot better for me than double tap.

@bunny Have you tried to just straight forward clip it? When you jump to the spot where you cliped the gate and hold aim (while holding forward the entire time) Lara should clip the gate the same way... I think it's the same mechanic since Lara "landed" at around 3:49, but wihout the floating and turning. EDIT: well nvm not nearly as consistent as I thought it would be

@Eydas I got the arrows and everything but I cannot fasttravel from that campfire, it is disabled at that point in the story/run.
@Zydin I tried doing the observatory clip you've shown before but as far as I can tell you need to have watched the cutscenes after the horrible fight for everything to load.
I couldn't clip to the area under the stairs though. Maybe there's a load trigger there but I'm not so hopeful.

@lillbrorsan You mean the post-Acropolis campfire? I had no trouble fast traveling from there on my first visit, but you can't use it while lara is using the radio so maybe that's what's happening to you?

The setup for the flooded archives skip needs to be properly looked at, there is something prior to the run that can disable your fast-travel from the campfire.

Maybe I misspoked, when I say "double aim". In facts, it's more like Artistic's way:
I back aim against the door/wall/stuff, then I release aim and I quickly press it again. Indeed the timing is important. I would recommend to try it at the door after you get the pistol, it was quite easy to get. For instance it is much harder for flame-thrower skip.
I haven't try much doors so far but it doesn't work on large logs barrier (those to skip flame arrows).
Can everyone check if the post-Acropolis campfire allows you to fast travel? Mine does and lillbrorsan's doesn't and we don't know what we're doing differently.
Truljin @ Twitch
I've tried doing it with two older saves, one with and one without the arrows, also tried it in my last attempt with current strats and it did not allow me to fast-travel, even after waiting for the walkie-talkie call to end.
I just played around with the reverse Flooded Archives route and found two OoBs

This allows you to get to the lower level of the observatory, where the entrance to Kitezh is, but the doesn't load.

This one could save some time when doing reverse archives. The water doesn't extend all the way, but maybe there's a way to stay OoB ?

Not sure if this would ever be useful, but still interesting. You can choose a different route to the Cathedral at the beginning. I am unsure if you could prevent the cutscene from playing and maybe an additional bunch of enemys not to load. Sadly I didnt hardsave before this so I cant instantly test it right now.

so i wanted to check out the flooded archives skip and i cant fast travel from the campfire could be cause i dont have the pistol might try to confirm this

For me quick travelling after the Acropolis worked. I used a mid-speedrun save. (I have a few of them to be able to test stuff faster.)

EDIT: I had the Pistol in that save, so Tau might be right.
Truljin @ Twitch
I had the idea of it being the fault of the cell oob which removes the pistol, still sounds very likely.
Can't be the pistol... also works without spamming the camp

I have done all the skips in that save except for: intro, Syria stuff, Acropolis yolo strats (before she goes underground)

EDIT: Actually I have done Intro and Syria stuff in that save file but not in the same sitting.

EDIT2: Also did someone test exit menu continue?

I tried to exit to menu and continue but no change.

As for the gate fire arrow skip, I believe I found a good setup, will keep testing.
Well then I suggest we don't go for that skip until the issue is resolved.
When brass and I looked at fast travel, it seemed like getting broadhead arrows early allowed for fast travel in certain places not available otherwise. Can someone confirm?
