Anyone interested?

It'll be in segments, but only 1 part like I did my last doom 3 run.

Maybe if I practice enough, I could actually do a single segment run. I know it's one of those games where you really don't have to fight if you're quick enough.

Would I ever be! I was just thinking yesterday that no RTCW run was hosted here on SDA, and how I would love to see one.

Judging from how much a medkit healed him, I'm going to guess it was done on Easy mode.

If I do one, it'll be segmented, and on the hardest dificulty.. My comp is a whole lot faster, and stronger since the first time I played this game, so I know I can run it on the highest settings.. (I really don't like playing games with settings way low)

I need to get some stuff accomplished in real life atm, so the run will have to wait a tiny bit..

I'll probably mess around with it for about an hour or so every night until I can get some time free to really have a go at it..

Luckily, I can use this run to figure out how to get through the levels quicker. If not for it, I'd be stuck having to remember where to go from the start.

i would like to compete with you....
but since i still cant record my runs....

and something i can tell you:
Hard is really hard especially to speedrun... boss fights and the thougher enemys in the end are sometimes pure luck.
and you should watch Fu3l3d's speedrun he has pretty good routes. And look at what enemys he kills, cause some are requeried to open doors and to proceed.

Well, I'm able to complete the first level of the game in like 2:05 on the hardest dificulty, so maybe I'll just stick with that one.

I got a time of 1:55. I also managed to not lose any health.

Other times where I tried, I kept getting shot in the back to death.

The second link is incase the first doesn't work.. Both hosts kinda suck, but all I can find for free.

i did this video and its faaaaaaar from perfect. recording with camtasia gives you the feeling of having 5 -10 fps...

anyway.
in the last part of the level where you jump down through the broken floor. you basically only need to kill the 2 guys which are coming down the hallway and the 1 standing behind the door after these 2 guys.
if you do it right none of them will hit you.
and practice bunnyhopping... you can get really fast with it.
and (im not sure about this) when you strafe jump most of the time the enemy is too stupid to hit. doesnt work all the time but enough to use it.

PS: [url]www.yousendit.com[/url] has 1GB flie limit. but it gets deleted after 25 views or 7 days.

sorry for the crappy quality but i cant find a host with more than a 10 MB limit....  Sad

its a pretty good run, except that i kept hanging on a few corners and the enemys didnt like to do what they should have done...

May I suggest Filefront (whose website is www.filefront.com)?  It's how a number of people here have uploaded their larger preliminary runs and gotten them out to the general public.  Their filesize limit is a gigabyte, so long as you have a decent connection (they have an upload time limit of 10 hours).

Anyway, I'll make sure to check this out later.

but i do have a crappy connection indeed.

the longest levels are around 4 mins so theres no prob with that. i gonna check that out and will do a better quality video. so everyone can watch it aithout eye-cancer Wink

man if I knew in what i get myself into i wouldnt even have thought about a speedrun.  Wink

my friend has a pretty fast connection at work. if i get this run done (and faster than apathy) i can upload a HQ version there...

btw dont get that sniper rifle in "escape1", just kill they guy before the bridge in "escape2". He drops it down almost ono your head.
