So what's the status of this game on PC? Does a lot of the same stuff work? The glitches look really fun an interesting to me so I'm thinking about giving it a look. Though I don't know about 3-4hrs...lol. Either way, it looks like something I could dump some free time into.
Yeah, it's unfortunately a long run due to unskippable cutscenes. Any% is pretty much optimized with the current knowledge, except for a couple of fights, but there could still be hidden potential somewhere. I guess that's the same for every game, but there are reports of people skipping some calls for example, which I haven't been able to replicate. The record is still 3:16:09 at the moment, while sub 3 hours is possible.
If you're having problems with anything, either DeadRobots or I could give you some help. We're probably the only semi-active runners at the moment.
Cool. I don't know how much time exactly I'll get to put into it atm. I have a lot going on with an upcoming move and AGDQ coming up, but it definitely looks interesting and fun. I'll probably give it a couple of casual play throughs first to get a feel of the game, but maybe in 2016 for sure I'll be able to put more time into it. I'll just kinda have to see how things go.
Also I noticed that some cut scenes you were able to exit and reload once it auto saves, is that correct? Outlast has a similar mechanic that helps save some time by skipping cut scenes doing just that, but not all unfortunately, which seems the case here.
My first experience with the game a while back was on console when I got it with PS+. Early in the game I ran into the corner of a guardrail and I guess turned the camera too quick or something and just fell through the world, lol. I don't know if I could replicate it, I think it was just a silly broken thing with the game, but it was funny nonetheless.

Yes, this is true. It's pretty random as well, some autosave loads skip to the end of the cutscene, while others just kind of load to the moment it autosaved.

Haha, yeah like I said, there's probably still some potential left somewhere. It's really sad though, that if we would find more skips for this game, and it would get to around 2 hour-ish, then it would basically all just turn into a whole movie with little else lol. This also means that this game might be perfect for some kind of run, where one had to run several games at the same time. I bet something like that will exist in the future, would be fun
Here's hoping that Remember Me 2, if it ever comes out, loads its stuff in anything besides cutscenes, even elevators would be fine by me haha.
So with AGDQ over and me finally moved to my new spot I can start looking into this a bit more. How much time I can actually put in it will be mostly determined by school and where I can fit it in with current projects. So not saying I'm dropping the idea of running this game, but not getting anyone's hopes up either lol.

I'm still around but don't have much interest in this game in terms of speedrunning. I can't deal with any game that has unskippable cutscenes or 2 hr runs. Would be nice to see a flawless, no damage run using all of the stuff we found. I wouldn't mind if it was segmented either.
So not a lot going on with Remember Me right now? :O
Not really.. I'm going to do a Remember Me stream soon where I'll go over all the parts of the run and explain them in (more or less) detail, because someone (more or less) asked me to. This probably won't make the game more active, but we'll see... Remember Me is in the latest Humble Bundle as well, so it might be the right time. I'll post the date before I do it
I was wondering for fighting phase if use the overload was a good choice: So I made a test on the first fight including the tutorial phase at the beguining of the episode 2 (quartier saint michel). I did 10 fights with all overloads and 10 other fights without a single overload. It's start from last input which start the battle to the last ennemy down. I used the smallest combo (x3) only with fight pressens.
Um... Good luck if you can, because that would be an insane feat. I don't think many (if any) speedrunners have ever done that before, and I don't see what we'd get from it but sure, good luck.
Welcome back. So finishing off people with Memory Overload takes longer, but gives you more focus at once iirc. I can't say for certain that it wasn't documented somewhere before, but at least I had knowledge of it while doing my run.
So I've been learning the Valkyria Chronicles speedruns (which are pretty long) so I'm going to try and motivate myself to relearn the game. I'm still not going to have the time to run the game for a while yet but I should probably prepare anyway.
I have a small contribution for you guys on PC, copy/paste this to your "Remember Me\Engine\Config\BaseInput.ini" below "; --- General bindings" line :
Works with add and subtract keypads on keyboard, press add to use it and subtract to disable it pretty self-explanatory. I'm too lazy to make a video. Happy glitching !
