I've lost track about where all that stuff normally is. If there are no focus boosts in the Floating Market area, then you should be good to go.

Edit: The new Johnny skip also doesn't skip any Focus Boosts.
Here's another reason why longer combochains are just superior:

Unless you get hit and they get cancelled lel shorter are backup strats, you can still one cycle johnny with short hits, I've done it before. you can also just use fury and risk it, either way if you get hit by a leaper it's fucked

I've got hit twice by leapers in the video, which doesn't cancel anything, because they hit Johnny too. It's not hard to recreate this 5 times in a row.
twitch.tv/deadrobots
Aight I trust you on it, it's easier when they're still spawning. It was more of a problem before you could start comboing before the enemies spawned. Because then you'd ehave 3-4 white leapers following you every time you Dosed. Also I think I've found a somewhat consistent plant setup. I'll make a vod soon.
twitch.tv/deadrobots
http://www.twitch.tv/manifestmechanics/c/6558495 Okay so this is how I do the plant. works most of the time, pretty consistent.
Haha, I've tried to record proof and failed epicly Roll Eyes

4 out of 5 is still okay, I guess. But you're right, if they don't hit Johnny as well, he's gone, which will happen from time to time, if your dodges are off. It still does quicker damage than the 3 hit combo though, because you definitely get at least 7 hits before a leaper is attacking you, which means you're doing around 800 damage and Johnny has about 1050 hp. So you only need about 3 to 4 more hits with Dos.

Good to hear. Also regarding those 2 abilities that you've lost temporarily - that actually happened to me too. I don't know why I haven't addressed this in my video. It still saves time over going there normally though, because of the cutscene.

Yea, also, if anyone can get me coordinates of that area you fall down from in episode 3, just before the land mines, I found a way to get to where Zero's train skip is, but I'm much higher up, so I'm wondering if I can trigger where I fall down. I'll see about getting coordinates for it then trying.

By the way, you know the two kinds of jumps Nilin has, one high, one low, right? So, does anyone know if there is actually a way to get Nilin to do a specific one or are they random?
Sometimes, I feel like they can be done in exactly the same places consistently but not in others.
twitch.tv/deadrobots
I think it's dependent on each skip honestly. Like it depends on the height diffs from where you are jumping from to landing. which almost every jump is different.

It's just so weird, because there are instances where you have a flat space, for example in the area in episode 6 after the picksocket skip. When you go up the ladder, half of the area are low jumps, half of the area are high jumps. I don't get it.

Another small skip in episode 6, which saves 30 seconds.

Nice find. But here's something odd. On the PS3 sometimes that area is totally solid, so if you get a lower airwalk you'll be stuck in that room. Has that ever happened to you?

Also, this is the part I was talking about where you can get to from the picksocket skip but can't do anything due to height. Now that I see the check point is like, only slightly above my height at that point, I'm so annoyed. If it weren't for that small difference we would be able to skip the previous room entirely.
twitch.tv/deadrobots
low airwalk blocking happens occasionally on PC as well. Also the jumping high and low might have to do with where the ceiling boundaries are? It would be really interesting if we could find a way to turn on wire frames.
The name's Sheldor. InfiniteSheldor.
SDA Forum email notifications are the best. 9 hours ago I got an email, with it being about new posts in this thread. The one it quoted was DeadRobots' first post on page 7 lol
Zero I'll get onto that, I'm at the end of chapter 3 on my PS3 runthrough, on MemHunter elite collecting all the collectibles

I think that jumping depends on where Nilin starts/ends, I'm guessing starts, unless the game already knows where you're going to land. Manifest, I'm still working on the wireframes, and I've got a friend from Mirror's Edge working on a PC trainer for us. Speaking of, which drop in chapter 3? The one we skip by doing the pole airwalk, just before the platforming section where you get Sensen DOS or a different one? I'm on that chapter on PS3 right now, as I said before.

Yes! I was annoyed by that same thing! You know how under the ledge of the picksocket skip is a little robot that cleans the room? I've even tried to jump on him from above, pulled the picksocket ledge a little bit up, so I could get an even higher airwalk. It didn't matter... still too low Undecided

Hmm, if I had a PS3 I would test this some more, but maybe it has to do with where exactly you're grabbing the ledge? That's my only guess, because I've tried low airwalk and high airwalk on that ledge, and both seem to work for me.

Alright, now it really is impossible, because I've actually found a way to pull the ledge to almost its highest setting and getting an airwalk on there. I was still too low.

PC Trainer? Like something that allows you to use save states for quick resets? Btw, if you copy the folder with your save from your userdata you can load those in to do that, you just have to like reset the game everytime you load one over.

I've found a way to make the episode 3 airwalk about 10 to 15 seconds shorter, but sometimes the collision part, where you're loosing height, doesn't load??

Can someone tell me what's going on here? I'm at the same height (985) both times.
I've got it to work from 981 to 1020 height, under 980 doesn't seem to work.

Btw. you can read the debug stuff in the video if you click the cogwheel in the bottom right corner and change the quality to 1080p.

The number left of "Rotation:" and after the comma is my current height.
I don't think there's any real answer other than this is a super glitchy, untested game.

That part where you walk lower in mid-air just before the platform with the SAT? I've had that happen in the middle of that area, nowhere near that platform. I don't think there's any rule to it. The game is just seriously messed up.

I wonder if Remember Me 2, assuming it's actually being made, will be like this?

Hmm, but this worked really often, this wasn't a one time thing. It's just really inconsistent at this point :/ Like, it works 100% of the time if your height is above 990, 50% of the time if your height is 980 to 989 and 0% if it's below. I just don't get it (consistently above 990)...

Also if you're going there with height>980 and get more height at the sat healing station or somewhere else, it still won't work. This is just frustrating at this point.

And yet another skip:

Probably semi-well known, but there are a few (stylish) alternatives.
Also maybe too risky, because you don't get a checkpoint after doing the huge episode 3 skip.
This saves about 20 seconds.

Haha, just a heads up:

If you do an airjump at the ledge of the Johnny skip in episode 3 (so falling down, the camera angle changes, you get a checkpoint, you jump up to grab the ledge again (airjump)) your game will crash.
So don't be like me.

Edit: Also found a new skip that saves about 1 minutes and 30 seconds. I'll upload it later.

1:30 in the bank.

This also explains how to get the 5 seconds time save airwalk, right before the Zorn, consistently.
