i know there are a couple of old threads about redneck (like 7 or 8 years old) but i think it needed some more love so i picked it up and i'd like some competition :3
here is my attempt at it  http://www.twitch.tv/youtl/c/3231596

as for glitches or skips
- opening doors while climbing up ladders i think this goes for all build games
- the second key barn in dairy farms you can clip through if you enter at the right height/ angle while moving diagonally saves a couple of seconds
- and possibly a straight fall down the hole in uranium mine skips most of the level
Thread title:
Watched the run. Very nice!

Level-per-level comments:
1-1 Taylor Town: Should you be holding the pistol out after the demolition job to be able to clear the way or avoid damage or something...
1-2 Lumberland: Nice! (no comments :D)
1-3 Junkyard: What's happening at the end? Are you skipping a trigger or something?
1-4 Drive-In: The window - is it just a timed event? What starts the timer? Can you do something while you wait? Keep practising the tricks!
1-5 Dairy Air Farms: Should you jump entering the muddy area for a little time saver? If you used the pistol or something there you could save assault rifle ammo if necessary.
1-6 Sewers: Did you check if the new water glitch works in RR as well as Duke3D? The one found by Alex Dawson who subsequently submitted the new run of map 1-4 "Toxic Dump". http://speeddemosarchive.com/DukeNukem3D.html

2-1 Downtown Hickston: ...
2-2 Nut House: Yes.
2-3 J Cluck's!: will you be using the save game in submission runs? That would make it SS with resets I guess... or I don't know I'm confused by the new rulings.
2-4 The Ruins: I guess you're making saves now just not to lose the run totally. Do you always take so much damage from the two guys in the yard? Doesn't seem to matter much seeing as you almost never need healing.
2-5 Grimley's Mortuary: Tough moving around here...
2-6 Uranium Mines: What's that you're dying to? This level is looooong.
2-7 Beaudry Mansion: Yes.
2-8 Close Encounters: Sooo muuuch heaalth.

You didn't pick up the alien arm gun at any point. Is it not powerful enough to be viable?
Personally I wouldn't resent if there was no music in a submission for this game since it's kinda jangly IMO.
for 1-1 there is no point having pistol out because you can push enemies it can be useful for stunning shotgun guys if you have to get past them like in 1-2
in 1-3 i missed a key near the end and had to go back
1-4 window in the bowling alley is timed as far as i can tell after entering the room maybe? and you can make the jump to the box without pushing it using moonshine speed but its tough alternative is jumping of one of the monkeys heads
1-5 jumping doesn't save time going into the mud
2-3 i save just because getting through the crusher fast is just luck
2-4 there is alot of points where you can die instantly like if enemies shoot a dynamite box anywhere near you is instant death and most enemies are hitscan and while their aiming is random they can do alot of damage especially the shotgun guys even on easy!
2-5 lol i actually became drunk when i had to jump over the death pit luckily i made it and got some pork rinds
2-7 all the moving minecarts are instant death if you touch them the one i was trying to jump on wasn't cooperating so i just had to wait...
2-7 i did get lost in the mansion a bit and the hedge maze
the alien arm gun isnt bad damage wise but its slow and only really useful for the final boss but using the alien teat gun for the majority of the fight is best

still running this but there are some more skips now
the first level can be completed in 17 seconds by clipping through a fence and then walking into the trigger that spawns bubba this is a very old trick posted on an ancient redneck thread on sda but the video has long since been deleted
other skips are squeezing through bars and just generally tight places forcing through doors and teleporting to other rooms above the one you are in.
some doors can kill you however, which brings me to another point i found out a pseudo "cheat" pressing the tilde key while alive will make Leonard urinate reducing alcohol level i think and gives some health (not enough to warrant using it for this reason) but if you press tilde after dying you revive with 1 hp and can easily heal up quickly with items and continue. this isn't documented anywhere apart from cheat sites and it does give you a cheater message when it's used (i just tested this and it doesn't show the message everytime) but i feel it should be allowed just because how difficult the run is generally.
Heres my quickest run the only newish skip in it is the first level fence clip though because its a little old.
That doesn't reeeally strike me as a cheat, more like an easter egg sort of feature even if it gives you that message. Surely the "piss" key is documented in itself? Admin confirmation on this?
i'm pretty sure ive seen it before as piss button but cant remember where...
i havnt been able to get it to show the message again so it probably wasn't meant to be a cheat
however if you load into a duke3d level and use it the message will usually show up and an audio clip will play calling you a cheater
It's far from what we regularly think about when talking about cheating. There's never a "cheat button" like this, you have to input several key presses, or access the debug menu or something. You're only cheating death Tongue
that's true i should point out it has regular cheatcodes which you type in for god mode, noclip etc and that the revive only works once per level and doesn't work if you've already used it while alive to piss.
Apparently it also takes you from 90+ health directly to 100 if you ever preferred to use it that way. And why do I think you can use it more than once per level if only you've been drinking enough? Could be you'd seldom have the time for it to "reload" in speed runs.

This mostly reminds me of "hovering" in DN3D where you use both legs for kicking at once... As in it's not even a hidden feature per se it's just a quirky way of using the feature. In any case if this doesn't catch an admin's eye or no-one's really sure you can always refer back to this thread if anyone thought it was an issue in verification. I simply don't think that's even going to happen though.
