Does anyone here know if there is some way to record directly from your tv with a webcam? For people with less money, they could by a webcam, and maybe some sort of TV-to-Webcam thing, and record that way. A good webcam doesn't lag very bad, and records with good enough quality.

What do you think? It could be a helpful style of recording.

"Hey, what is this video?  Is that guy playing a game?  Cause uh, it looks like a big fuzzy ball of fluff."

No really, webcams are designed to be cheap and provide low quality video over the net.  Just buy yourself a damn VCR already.  You can probably find one at a flea market for cheaper than some webcams.

I don't think a webcam could even provide video quality that meets the low quality standard here.

No, I mean hook it up, maybe where head phones would go or something.

I didn't think it would be possible, but I was just wondering.

And I have a DVD recorder. I just thought maybe for some other people it could be cool.

You idea makes absolutely no sense.  You can't record video from a headphone jack.
unless it happens to be video on the right channel and audio on the left channel, as my old video 8 camera had. Smiley
