This thread is meant to serve two purposes (for me at least) - the first, to just talk about the best & favorite media software, and the second, to help me find a better one!

I currently use VLC for watching videos, because it's free, and it's got a low CPU usage profile (using an old computer for most of my watching, unfortunately).  VLC can do a lot of awesome and fun things.  However, you can't play two audio channels/tracks at the same time, which means I can't listen to a speed runs audio & a commentator's audio at the same time.  So, I'm looking for a change.

What do you guys recommend and like?
Funny, earlier today on IRC Bisqwit said:

For whoever is interested, I created a little script that aids those MPlayer users who want to watch archived SDA Marathon runs that have two audio tracks, but want to listen to both of them simultaneously. http://bisqwit.iki.fi/kala/mix.sh

I guess you could try that.
