Already got the run I wanted and I am sure it is not up to standards here. Thanks for the ideas. If I want to do another run of something else in the future I will put some further effort into figuring out the standards here and how to make that work. Here is the run if anyone is interested. The first ever sub 24 human run of Lolo 2. Had a video glitch a bit on me about 17 min into the run, OBS and cpu usage caused problems, but thankfully got it all recorded.
I created a new thread since this one was getting a bit long: Here is the newest attempt at quality verification. https://forum.speeddemosarchive.com/post/quality_test_%E2%80%93_the_adventures_of_lolo_2_nes_part_two.html

Once I redid my entire computer I was able to get audio and video in my Amarec output file. Cheesy Take a look and let me know if this now fits the standards. Since I am still fresh on the game I may do another attempt if I can get the quality worked out quickly.
Just wanted to say that we had a quick internal talk about this thread. If your latest run is of the same quality as the last quality test (of this thread), it'd be acceptable here if you decide to submit (but it's kind of borderline, so the same question would have to be discussed again if you used the same setup in the future). I also looked at the skip in your youtube video. It's not ideal, but that's a fairly common issue and short enough not to invalidate your video either. However, it would of course be awesome if you kept pushing the time even lower and got it recorded with the setup in the new thread.
This is what I will do. I will use the settings used in the new thread (part 2) for one more run before I submit anything. I am about 31 seconds from the TAS but a lot of this time is near impossible to impossible to obtain. In one puzzle the TAS uses what appears to be a frame perfect/ animation perfect trick to bypass a pink dragon. I have done it while playing around with it but to have it in an actual run would require soooooo much grinding by chance it happens in a decent run. Someone else can do that kind of grinding, lol. Another area is impossible where the blue dragon at the end is kept in a stunned animation by rapid inputs. While that may be done in a TAS it is not possible for that many frame perfect inputs to be executed that fast and that close together by a human. I have not calculated how much time that would change what is manageable, however I know what my next run will look like.

Using all the same patterns I could carve out 1 to 2 seconds I think. Plus I have made some minor adjustments that will get me another 3 seconds, so ultimately a sub 23:50 will be possible for me. I will aim for that but will require a near perfect run, much better executed than the 23:54 I posted. If all is well in the new thread as far as settings then I will start on this as early as this upcoming weekend.
I just did a submission form but didn't see a place to upload the content. I will try to do so with this post. The only file that I can get to attach is the LQ, the main one errors after full upload, the IQ is said to be too large. In my submission I attached a Word document where I do a board by board written commentary.
Oh, I see now "Please do not send us the run itself until we have given you permission to do so. " I guess I wait then, lol. Thanks.
