I also get a message in Yua saying "The HQ video was renamed to MQ because HQ was not necessary to encode." and it only outputs a MQ and LQ file. I've never seen this before, is this a problem for future submission?

is it just me or is the audio like 200-300 milliseconds ahead of the video? if so then that's easy enough to correct in vdub - just set both audio and video to direct stream copy and then set an offset of -300 or whatever you determine it to be under audio -> interleaving or whatever it is now.

looks good other than that.

nope.
I'm not sure why the audio is delayed, I'll look into it. Thanks for checking the videos out.
Dapper as fuck.
Probably because VirtualDub.  I use it too and every time I locally record with it I have to run the video back through with a -200 ms in the interleaving option before putting it through Yua.  Not sure why, as when I stream the audio is in sync just fine.
weird. are you capturing lossless audio?
Dapper as fuck.
Honestly?  No idea.  I don't even know where to check for that.
if you're not capturing lossless audio that's one thing i know of that could cause this.

While reading blizzz's website I found out that with my setup it is very easy to restore the console's native resolution in post processing without having any horizontal pixels blur together.
Would this method be preferable for future submissions, or should I continue just encoding a 720x480 source file directly?

Thanks!

Edit: Obviously this isn't Mega Man X, but I thought it would be better to post in the same old thread regardless.

you know honestly there isn't much difference. if you like the native resolution then go for it. it's definitely acceptable. otherwise the more traditional analog -> digital resolutions are good too.
Alright, thanks, appreciate the reply.
