Quality Test - Mega Man X4 (PSX)

Type of quality test: source file
Your operating system: Windows 7
Capture hardware: HDD DVD recorder (XP mode as quality)
Game: Mega Man X4 for PSX (played on PS2) NTSC U/C

Playing the files on a DVD player shows fine video quality, on a PC with standard media players the quality is somewhat
questionable (for whatever reason). Don't know how to treat that. Hope I uploaded the file correctly.

why it looks weird on your pc is because its interlaced footage, which is a good thing (in this case!)
you can throw that file into Yua or Anri-chan and get perfect videos.

so yeah, it looks good to me, but wait for nate or ballofsnow to confirm!

Today I encoded the file with Anri-chan and the result made me really happy Smiley

although I still have to wait for green light from the admins.

I also need to do a quality test as I'm submitting an X4 run for old times sake.

Here's a youtube link, although it looks better raw of course. It's RGB upscaled 4 times with OSSC so I'm assuming this is fine.

yeah, no problems on the video. i'd be glad to encode it for you if you upload the raw. you'll get instructions for doing that when you submit the run.
