so recently i startered speedrunning puzzle agent 1 any% easy game to speed run just a matter of spam clicking and memorising the puzzles second run i got a sub 40 with maybe 3/4 minor mistakes and 2 major ones below are my splits if anyone fancies giving it a run.

Tips for running, Only text can be skipped in cutscenes
orange puzzle pieces are story line puzzles white ones are optional

as far as i have found no one else has ran this game or if they have they have a time of over 1hour so would it be safe in assuming i have the world record Tongue

Thread title:
Kupo!
I just picked up this game again after taking a break from it for the FF marathon. Just did a 38:00 with ending timing right before the credits. Some serious mistakes in it that cost me roughly 50-60 seconds.

My question is is what SDA timing would be, as that is probably what I'd use for my split timing. Will post my splits in a minute.

Splits (see edit)

Not sure what I'd like to aim for before I submit a run but well... We'll see what I can do. Also, don't mind the names on them, I was being totally silly on these splits because I'm just doing this game for fun really.

Timing wise: I'm thinking going from first puzzle start until last puzzle end (start of the crossword, end of the hydraulics) would probably be the best timing. Only thing is there's still text to skip after the last puzzle, though that is... meh.

Edit: Okay, well, got a new time using the timing of first puzzle start > last puzzle end. 33:00.02. Mainly just had some slight derps in this run but it was much smoother than my last one.

Long time no see. Haven't done many runs, but I have brought the time down AND routed 100% since my last post. I still time from end of last puzzle to start of first. And on that note...

Puzzle Agent 1 any%: http://www.twitch.tv/rinimt/c/2366289 - 29:16. Only real mistake here is I messed up the snowmobile puzzle once (oops).
Puzzle Agent 1 100%: http://www.twitch.tv/rinimt/c/2586250 - 36:36. My first actual 100% run. I made some major derpage on the tapeworm puzzle.

I've also discovered, with some credit to Puzzle Agent 2 here, that if you just hit "Quit" on the puzzles where a gnome takes a piece it automatically ends the puzzle and progresses the story. Saves probably 2 seconds on the furnace, 5+ on the gear, and 5-10 on the lift. Haven't done an any% run with these changes though.

Speaking of Puzzle Agent 2, not sure if I should make a new topic or put it here so I'll just put it here for now...

Puzzle Agent 2 any%: http://www.twitch.tv/rinimt/c/2547096 - 37:21. I don't even remember what I messed up here, only that this was my second run lol.

PA2 features more story with the same amount of puzzles. Or in other words, spreads them out more. The only real "spot" where you get a choice of the puzzles you do is when you are in space right before you learn the full lunacy algorithm. While my 37:21 does the bottom left, top left, and top right, I do believe that for consistency the better plan is to do bottom right, top left, top right. The star puzzle is just super annoying cause you have to match the -tiniest- things, whereas the place the satellites just involves making sure you do it right. Doing the bottom right puzzle should save a bit of time, however the last run I did where I did this I went into it unprepared (and with an already terrible run from dumb mistakes and slight rust), thus failing it once before I realized the right placements (more like failing it cause I was half asleep and placed something wrong).

PA2 100% might eventually become a thing, but I'd rather work on pounding out PA1 any%/100% with PA2 any% being a side project (especially since running the two Puzzle Agents is already a side project for if I fail a longer run and want something short to do).
well im finally back after having lost my internet for over a year and i've not once played puzzle agent 1 since then, so me thinks it time to get some practice in.  rinimt would it possible if i could get a copy of your splits to work off?
