Hey, I've got a rather odd question that I hope somebody here might be able to answer.

Basically, I'm going to get myself the japanese version of Mega Man Power Up for the PSP. I still don't own a PSP and live in europe. Theoretically, I could just grab myself a PSP from over here (no region protection etc.), however MMPU does have quite a bunch of neat DLC content which I'd like to get.
So I'd like to know if it is possible to get this DLC content on a non japanese PSP, to make sure I don't buy a european model and end up being unable to get everything out of this game.

Anybody got some experiences with imported DLC content games on PSPs from other regions?

edit: A friend just told me you could easily log into a japanese PSN account on any PSP, which should solve the issue. Confirmation would be cool anyways, though.

Well, the MMPU DLC didn't ever require me to log in to any PSN account, though I did use the US version instead of the Japanese one.  I would expect no problems, given that PSP games are region free (PSP UMD Movies on the other hand, are region locked).
Won't the game automatically use the PSN account you linked your PSP with for letting you pay from your account?
MMPU DLC is free and only requires a Wi-Fi connection, so a PSN account is not required IIRC (note: you access it through the game. I'm not sure whether other DLC works like this as I've never felt the need to try it out). I'm not sure if the language itself could cause a incompatibility, or if it just searched for a Japanese server or something, I've never tried that myself with as my copy is from the same region as the console and where I live.

I've never had a PSN account.  Ever.
Sounds save enough for me. Thanks a lot for helping.
