TAXI
Well, continued glitch issues keep me from doing the Riddick Speedrun, so my next project is most likely going to be Project Snowblind.  This is a decent game to run, since with some planning you can pretty much just run nonstop through the levels.  I haven't been able to find a single sequence break, and the only physics exploit so far is going through doors instantly without waiting for them to open.  I've tried all the usual suspects; flying, wall climbing, boost jumping, grenade and rocket jumps, nothing seems to work.  grenades and rockets don't actually push you, and just jumping off physics objects is hard enough when they aren't even moving, so boosting off seems impossible.  Also, the game seems to make you unable to touch objects when they're moving, so even if you get the box to push against you really hard, you would just fall through it, instead of boosting up.
Anyhow, the game is pretty short, especially when you ignore all the enemies, so it should make for a quick and hopefully interesting run.  If anyone's tried before, or has any tips, especially exploits/breaks, I'd be really grateful.
I haven't timed anything yet, but I'll be moving on to some timed runs soon to get a general idea of full run length.

Speed is everything!
Hey, I've already thought of doing a speedrun for Project Snowblind, too! Grin
But there were a few runs I've to do before, so that could take a bit time.
I've played the game and understand what you mean with tricks and so. Maybe I can help you a bit with that.
So I'm looking forward to this run and will wish you good luck! Wink

Ok, so I did a quick run of each level to get an idea of a time estimate, and I came up with about 45minutes.  I think I can easily get this below 40, maybe lower.  There are a couple problems.  There's points in the game where they tell you to "hold an area" or clear it of enemies, and sometimes you can't skip it.  The way it finishes isn't based on a timer, but on how many enemies you kill.  For example, in one of the early sections, you need to "buy Pitney some time", and the door to the next section won't open unless you kill 12 enemies.  The best way seems to be rockets, since you can take out a whole bunch at once, or later the flechette gun alternate fire works really well.  The problem is gonna be managing rockets, flechette ammo, grenades, and other area effect weapons so that you will always have enough for these area clearing missions.  The other issue that surfaced was bioenergy for your mods.  The cloaking mod and ballistic shield are especially useful, but there is no inventory system, so you can't pick up and save energy cells, you can only use them as you come across them.  So, managing that will be a big issue.  Also, there are upgrades which permanently increase your maximum bio energy level.  I come across one on the route I'm taking, but I wonder if it would save time overall to go out of my way once or twice to grab the others, since I'd be able to cloak and just ignore enemies more often afterwards.  I'm gonna have to time it out.  Also, saying i couldn't find any sequence breaks in the first post was a bit misleading.  I can't really find any, but any level that has secondary missions, those can be completely ignored, even if they sound like they need to be done to finish, usually by being smart you can find a way around it, so that saves a lot of time.

ZeRo - Thanks for the interest man, if you do know any tricks or shortcuts, it'd be really appreciated.  Also, I'll post some videos here soon, and if you see anything I could optimize, please let me know.
Heyyy... wait.. i don't know you. Don't confuse me
I played Project Snowbild too. Its a very straigt Game and imho very well speedrunnable. I never considered a run, but i  definitively encourage you to do one.

I love seeing runs of games that i played myself ^^
Heh, a run of PS would be cool. I haven't played it too much, myself, so I'll be likely of no help to you. But this struck me:

Could this quirk be exploited somehow?
