I'm not even going to justify why he deserves praise; check out the news page, and understand why he rules. This is, of course, beyond his godsend contributions to developing the site, preparing recorded runs, and now even updating it. I mean, come on, how long have we pursued a Sonic 2 run???

If you continue talking like that he might get the impression that his work is appreciated, and that could lead to baaaad things. Like him doing more great stuff, or even enjoying it! Shocked

Why don't you just handle the matter the proper way like the guys in the other thread did? Anyone too lazy to do some real contributions has the god-given duty to contribute by pointing out every tiny flaw there is. How can errors be fixed when noone complains about them?
That kind of feedback will get this site forward, not your unconstructive thanking-stuff.

Oh don't worry; I'd never venture into those murky waters. Sandbag was just incessant on acquiring a Sonic run.

[You see, it's impossible to compare them. Sandbag talked his impotent talk... the very annoying, unscrupulously aggravating talk, and the nearly silent, more pensive Nate actually performed the Sonic 2 run... For that matter, he never "strategized" or criticized others for failing to perform the run. Instead, he rose to the occasion and independently performed the run without so much as a single line of advice from anyone else. Hardcore resolve.]

BTW, watching his videos was truly inspiring. Certain runs contain some sort of inherent nostalgic or classic feel, as with Mario Brothers titles, and Sonic 2 shares this quality.

Radix is paid by the Sonic Team and he made a deal in 06 that only sonic games would be allowed. Nate is just a fake person Radix created so no one would be the wiser and notice this. I read it in EGM so it must be true. Grin
