Postal 2 speed run?

Would a speed run for the game Postal 2 be accepted? I only ask because it's not as popular as other games, say oh, Half Life 2. Wink

It's got some good speedrunning potential though, so I was curious if there would be any interest in a speed run for this game.

I'd DEFINATELY watch this one. Fun game with lots of speedrunning potential. The only block I can throw in front of this one is the loading times. Admittedly, they were improved with the patch, but they still were a tad ridiculous.

I was going to work on a speedrun for this game, but I guess now I can work on my "no kills" run it. The game gives you the "Jesus" rank if you do this.

Well, I had a speed run all ready to go, but I was informed that I can't use the timer mod since Postal 2 doesn't have an in-game timer, so I have to start over. Probably my fault for not asking first, but whatever.

I still need to clean it up anyway, it just doesn't look impressive enough.

Postal 2 WINS, so I'd definitely watch it.

I can't think of any tricks, though... 'cept for to never draw weapon unless it's necessary since the police are a pain in the ass.

I'm suprised to see a lot of people here like Postal 1 and 2. And I was beginning to think there was something wrong with me!

A speed run of Postal 1 and/or Postal 2 would be just great. I don't know about you guys, but Postal 2 takes a while to load a level, even with the patch that's supposed to fix that...

Ok, here's Monday. Tuesday is uploading as we speak, and I will link it when I get back. Basically, I go around hitting people with shovels to emphasize my contempt for mankind, as I go about my day. First I grab milk (without paying for it, of course), then I go to pick up my paycheck, and deal with the turds picketing my business. Then, to cash my paycheck, but what a line I have to stand in to cash it; so I find an *alternative* way of getting money. Unfortunately, a cop halts my progress so I had to effectively *talk it out* with her. Then it's on to home to deal with another bitch. Boy, what a day! Enjoy!

Ok, more shovel whacking in this one; I just love the twang it makes off of human skull. I had to go drop off a damn book at the library, as well as getting various shitbags to sign my petition. I get through the petition (with much prejudice), and return the book, only to have these contemptible ass-clowns set the place on fire. However after that mess things picked up; I got Gary Coleman's autograph (off of the dead body of a fan, I ain't waiting in line), and headed to church to confess. And lo and behold, another long line; so I do what I do with most long lines, cut to the front. But of course, the high and mighty turd munch tells me to go back, so I *reason* it out with him, which leaves me with a clear conscious, what my original plan was. But as is typical, trouble follows me, and these pajama-wearing pagans start blowing themselves up in front of the place, and amidst it all I get caught on fire (not the first time, but eh) no time to piss on myself to put out the fire, I just run home. I'll get a nice deal on Ebay for Gary's autograph.

I am currently working on Wednesday, and I will get it up hopefully by Monday, in time for more HOMM3 runs.

I don't know, I guess if you see them drop it. However, I just get money from specific areas/kicking ATM machines. There is some in the bank, or in some houses.

I've got a lot of errands to run today, and I am fed up with people so I let them know it with my size 12 boot along the way. Nothing like picking up a Christmas tree in July, especially when it's the favorite of the locals. It's ok, they tend to approve of my actions more when I am carrying an M4 assault rifle. Nevertheless, I get bored on the way to pissing on my dad in the cemetary, and open fire on my neighbors... again. Damn rednecks done knocked me out and took me to their beer factory; and what's worse, they dressed me up as a gimp. Now I have to go to the laundromat on the way home, damnit! But first, it's breaking out of the brewery, giving as much prejudice to the "workers" as I can with my Desert Eagle. Then it's casually (by casually I mean open fire on anything that breathes) off to the laundromat and to vote. I did my best with the hanging chads and went to pick up my clothes, for free of course (the hell if I am gonna pay for it). Off to home with my withering tree, a fistful of malice and a new found contempt for mankind. What a day!

If were lucky (don't count on it), I will have Thursday done by... this Thursday... but I have to plan ahead because I am short on cash I will need for it.

I have a few things to say.

First, I'm disappointed that you are playing on super-easy mode, makes the whole thing boring. :/

Second, all that shovel-whacking seems to accomplish nothing but slowing you down.

Third, I believe you can get through doors faster if you kick them open.

He might have enough contempt for the form of humanity represented by Postal 2 without having to deal with them getting in the way (as I imagine they would with alarming frequency on a higher difficulty level - heck, even on super-easy they physically block his progress several times). If not, I imagine running a lower difficulty also counts to some degree as route planning for higher difficulties.

(I wouldn't know the answer in its entirety - I haven't played this game.)

Anyway, watching these is a great form of stress relief, I tell you.
