This is something I've wondered for awhile. If you could choose a game that you could forget you ever played and re-live that first time experience, which one would it be. (yeah, I relize this might be stretching it.)
Thread title:
Well, it was golden axe until the other day! Me and my best mate got out his good old mega drive and found Golden Axe. We were like "OMG i haven't played this since i was about 10!!!" so we set it up and started playign it! After three tries we managed to complete it finding when we were 10 we nearly got to teh last boss! I nearly cried!
Eternal Understudy
Defintely Chrono Trigger. That game was my first RPG. I swear, the first time going through that game was just magical.
I forgot to mention mine would be Zelda OoT. I figured i'd say it before anyone else!

Final Fantasy 8 & 9.

I want to cry for Dagger and Rinoa again. I just love those games story-wise and can't wait for a PS2-Emu to play the newer incarnations.

Final Fantasy 2 for sure...that was my first RPG and still my favorite to-date  Smiley

Hard to say. Three games pop into my mind.

When I was younger Secret of Mana gave me some kind of epic feeling. Then I played the game way too long, got older and it lost its magic.

The second one is UFO - Enemy Unknown. I saw a friend play it and the ambience was really cool. That silent ticking for a background music made you really believe you were a scheming commander of the last hope of humans somewhere in a secret base.

The third one is Diablo. But there the case gets a little blurred. The feeling of the original Diablo is not even close matched by its successor. When I first played the game I was used to the animations you got on early SNES and DOS games. Slow handmade animations, most of them more abstract than realistic. The animations and details almost shocked me (well the goat men I butchered that sank to it's knees did...). I wish I could be that amazed by the second part...
Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island.
The game still feels like a dream when I play it.
Also the classic Sonic games and Kirby Superstar.
Too hard to choose, here's a short list:
1. Mega Man X
2. OoT
3. Super Mario RPG: Lot7S
4. Earthbound

I would like to relive my first StarCraft moment. I remember when it was actually fun to build a forge. Other games would be Donkey Kong Country 2, Super Mario Bros. and Perfect Dark.
No the Quail is not riding the Q
Ocarina of Time (wouldn't that be something!!)
wait...what is a quick spin? ;)..and a bunch of other Zelda games
Super Smash Brothers Melee
Metroid Prime 1 & 2
Pikmin 1 & 2
Super Mario World...Super Mario 64..and sunshine
etc.
In reality..all the games I still play alot today Tongue
I find most games more fun the second time through... but I'm weird like that. I'd probably pick zelda:lttp just because I've learned the whole game too well for my own good, but I'd want to remember everything I forgot when I was finished.
Jack of all Trades
Super Metroid, hands down. The atmosphere is too good.

Forget...Zelda...stuff?

Huh?

Does not compute.

So you can enjoy them all over again as if it was the first time...
I think it is better said as...Games you enjoyed most the very first time...
instead of completely forgeting so you can enjoy again Tongue
meh...really if some one can store my knowledge somewhere then give it back to me when I'm done playing...I have no problem Tongue

Edit:

Pretend the Men in Black zapped your mind with that memory thingy.(best way I could make an example.)

lol
Precursor
Probably DoDonPachi...

No wait, I'd definitely choose Imperishable Night.

[startjoke]Ha ha ha! Yeah right.  Me forgetting Zelda information!  Did the Japanese bomb Pearl Harbor?[/endjoke]
Like A Fox
Knights Quest.

I remember the first time I guessed the new game + password (it never tells you and is not in the instruction manual... I just guessed it) my brothers thought I cheated somehow.

I see there's no getting through to you. Wink
Just call me the cynicism machine
Either Final Fantasy 3/6 or Super Castlevania 4.  Those were the days...
I was thinking about this the other day. Banjo Kazooie.
After I record the run for it of course - not going through all this pain again...

like....gah... ._.
Super Mario Bros 3. Gah...I remember playing it soooooo long ago. *tears up.* ...and how we almost caught our house on fire when we left the NES on overnight...and then we found out about the whistles...and..and...nevermind. o_o

Now that I think about it, I would love to add "Duck Hunt" to my list of first timers. Although I might be able to grasp the first time experience, I will never get the "TURN THAT SHIT DOWN" experience exactly the same as it was back then from my friend's mom Sad
