I love YaBB 1G - SP1!
Hi all!
After seeing that there was a Baldur's Gate I speed run, I was wondering about the possibility of doing a Torment speed run. Both games are quite similar, but with P-T being based less on battles, it makes the leveling part easier.
There are several things that bothers me, however. There is a lot of way to kill the Transcendent One at the end, the easiest being with the Blade of the Immortal got from Coaxmetal at the Siege Tower, though it makes the death of the character a bit pointless (hey, gotta worry about the story too! ;)).
There is also 3 classes available. Personnally, I would stay as a fighter, because taking one of the two others would involve a lot of talking (especially for mage).
And what about the difficulty level? Best to left it at normal?
What do you think? For me, I'd say that the best bet would be running like hell with only Morte (which you eventually lose on the way) and Annah, get the Blade of the Immortal and suicide yourself to kill the Transcendent One, with cutting the segments only during the first CD switches. I think a fighter with maxed Constitution (for the regeneration) and maybe Dexterity (for AC) would be best suited for this.
I'm only seeing real problems at the Catacombs to get the sphere, maybe in Ravel's Maze, in Curst and when you get to kill Trias. Other than that, I believe it's running around and knowing the map.
Oh, and by the way, if the game is in French, is it a problem? Just wanna be sure, you know.
