I was wondering how to get this thing working.  I have the ROMs of games, but I need to know how and what Direct3D is because I keep getting a message that says something about dll  and Direct3D, and on rare occasions when I go to play game I get a message that says Cannot open a ROM because plugins have not yet successfully initialised.

This is my graphics card: SONY HMD-A200
^ I don't know if this is what the problem is but, I'd really like to know how I can get the game to play so I can try out codes and stuff on OoT.

On a related but not really note, I wish they made Project 64 for mac Sad

try updating your direct X (google it). Same goes for the plugins if you know what they are.

as for Oot, the beta quest is fun Cheesy

I have DirectX 9.0.

I found out that Mupen64 works for me but, the pictures are all distorted, like Mario 64 for example.  When you first load it and it shows that Mario head it shows only that and with a black background.  When you go to start a new game, the only part of princess peach that you can see is her hair Shocked

I can't figure out what that problem is, as I've tried almost everything.  All without luck.  Help would be appreciated.

Maybe it's a bad rom? I dunno. Might have better luck looking around here:

Chances are it's one of two things (but not for certain):

1) You need to adjust your video plug-in or settings on the emulator.

2) You have a weak video card.

The graphics on my rom(s) aren't very good either. I think it is just the graphics card as mine is really old and outdated.

--> Sorry for double post Sad <--

But if you can't play it at all, that is probably because you have a bad rom. Just search for more. That happened to me before, but now it works fine once I got a new rom.
You don't have to apologize for double posting when your last post was almost a month ago.

Yeah, but you never know when those hungry trolls are lurking.  I've heard they can rip your arms from their sockets.
everybody wanna tell you the meaning of music
If the OP sees this, Mupen64 is probably what you want to be using anyway. If you have messed up graphics, you probably want to try different plugins. Last I checked, N64 emulation was still rather finicky with the plugins and you have to try all the different combinations to see which works best for a particular game. I had a link to a compatibility list, but I think it died.

I selected an older version of Jabo's Graphic thing, and selected the RGB thing from the Graphics Plugin Configuration. The graphics started working excellently, but the rom ran really slow. Fluffy-- try just loads of different things. Maybe your computer can handle it. Smiley
