Since I don't have my old dreamcast (Lost it to Disc Read error  :-/) I was wondering if I can try doing an exploitless PSOv2 Normal Mode speedrun on PSOPC. I've already got fraps and everything working, and just taped my Forest Run (15:23, including Sega Logos/Character Creation/Etc.).

Would this be acceptable here, to do an improved exploitless speedrun (mind you I will probably have worse times then Brightstar/PSM, but they will be truly legit runs, zero exploits)?

I guess not :-/
100% runs=great to watch
I don't know if it'd be legal or not...but I'd probably watch it.  Don't lose hope until somebody actually tells ya "yea or nay" and explains why.
This is like a sequence break-free run on metroid prime. Radix won't take a exploitless run, unless it's faster than the current. However, i'm not sure, is the run on this site V1 or V2?

The run on the site is v1, and exploits the "Walk through Locked doors" multiple times (Which SHOULD be against the rules, seeing as it technically gets you through an area faster.

Glitches: Many speed runs utilize glitches, unintended side effects of the game's programming, to their advantage. There are some glitches which won't be allowed, though: generally any glitch that allows you to leave the normal bounds of the game world or to magically teleport between distant locations will be forbidden. Anything involving removing or altering a game disc/cartridge or files while the game is running is forbidden. Probably any other glitch will be allowed, but exceptions might be made on an individual basis. Runs using borderline glitches will probably be allowed in separate categories from runs that don't use them.

I originally figured that exploit would be against the rules. Hopefully Radix will let me do a legit speedrun of this game, because I think more people would rather see that then someone using a glitch to get through the game quick
Speed is the key.

Or maybe not. I rather see speedruns abusing glitches AND are played by a skilled player than speedruns not abusing glitches played with skill. The more glitches the better.

But that´s just me.

Nope, 'walking through doors' is definitely allowed. See Super Mario 64 (16-star run) for an obvious example of this. A run not using this technique may well be more interesting from some points of view, but it is not entirely suited to this site, which encourages you to use all non-banned glitches.

Well, I don't mean to replace Brightstar's run, I remember it saying somewhere on the site that if you do a run without using glitches (Even with a lower time) it will be put on the site, but I forget where I saw that
Speed is the key.
From the Rules:

I know, I posted that. I'm not saying it shouldn't be allowed, but I'm saying will a fully legit run ALSO be allowed besides it (as a different ranking)
I'm addicted to games
If only a single glitch is used, and it's considered "severe" then a run without that glitch can be posted as well.

So for metriod prime, it's many glitches, and defining "no sb-ing" is impossible.

For mario 64, we simply say "get 70 stars and dont glitch through the doors/infinite stairs"

For this we can simply say "dont glitch through doors".

So this means I can submit mine too?  Cheesy
