So I've been poking around with running Overlord 2 for about a week now. I just completed a (poor) run and wanted to share some of my findings to anyone interested. My run was 4:14, but I believe after optimizations, a low 3 hour time is possible.

The game itself is super linear. In fact, the only routing decisions boil down to keeping your minion count up, getting spell catalysts, and whether or not to get a weapon. Some things I still need to look into:

* Spell catalysts improve the fight with queen fay, as well as the final boss, and are definitely worth getting. I'm still not sure how many spell catalysts are ideal, but there isn't any notable improvement between 3 and 4 catalysts, so its between 1 and 3. To put things in perspective, with 0 catalysts, Queen fay phase 1 took me 1 min 15 sec, while with 3 catalysts, it took me 22 seconds.
* As far as other spells go, minion is likely worthless, but halo may be useful in breaking through enemy formations. Testing is needed.
* None of the health/mana upgrades will likely be worth it, except the health upgrade you can pick up while picking up Evil Presence at the beginning of the game.
* Minion upgrades will help in the long run. 5 of them are really easy to get, giving you a cap of 40 minions. Its likely 2 or 3 of them can be skipped without much time lost, but any lower and you will start having a hard time.
* As for minion farming, it appears to be ideal to simply keep up on collecting life force. You will likely have a very low blue minion count, but that isn't a problem as they aren't good at combat.
* I have no idea whether or not farming for a weapon will be worth it. Getting a good weapon requires two or more forge stones (which are almost free) and a bit of time farming the minions and crystals needed. My next run I plan on running without upgrading my weapon, and if that doesn't work out too well, I'll try purchasing one of the weaker weapons.

If anyone has any questions for me, feel free to ask.
