He's back!

Well his current run doesn't any features assosated with emu runs i.e. slowdown and re-records although it probally could cleverly use savestates to tape over mistakes. Its looking mighty slow at the moment, and leaving out certain tricks just doesn't look good as well as the mistakes that would cause me to quit during an SS run. Continue if you want, I won't stop or discourage you. Are you using a keyboard or a pad converter?

EDIT: I really don't see the point of destroying someone else's self esteem in this situation. It merly makes the mockers look like idiots. Espeacially when they themselves haven't produced anything or shown an commitment to pruducing a run.

btw i have segment 5 but the video is over 100 mb though i compresed it... anyone here helping me? or maybe you guys dont care cause this is a good run... MAYBE YOU GUYS THINK I SUCK EVEN!!!

Seriously, I'm enjoying your run. You might not be the best player right now but I'm sure you will get a lot better in time. Keep going and one day you'll probably have a run on the site. Wink

Ok,, I hope i just gets the DVD recorder.... so i can do a run on gamecube.. SS, Sub-5, and it will be like TSA's Sub-5 N64 or like kazooies Sub-5 on N64...

And please dont open a new thread right here, cause this board isnt for emu-discussion. And if you have to talk about your run, you might use one of the older OoT topics (mayb the 200pgs one...) Ya, your run is alright, I'm following it, but it might be a good idea to start your own topic so that way you're not flodding this one and confusing people who want to follow TSA's run. But don't give up just keep practicing and you will get better.:)
Edit: Just saw Phallosvogel's post, maybe posting in the old OoT topic would be better until you get the GC version or something.

No, he isn't making fun of you. He wants a video of how to kill a Goron (I think he means the one in Goron City that you hit with bombs).

If you are having compression problems, put your video into Windows Movie Maker then save it. It will compress it really small.

Now, we can't really say that you suck because you are new here. Just keep practicing all the tricks you see and you will get the hang of it. If you need help with any tricks, don't be afraid to ask. I know I will help you.

Having an emulator also greatly helps you practice the tricks. Just put a Save State right before the trick and keep practicing it until you can do it almost every try.

I believe Radix specified that no emulator runs are allowed, even if they didn't use re-recording or slow-motion.

DJS is good ooT player and I think if he practice lots, he can do every glitches if he want. example me when I entered to this forum I don't now much about oot speedrunning. I tried found glitches in oot about half years before I come to this forum and now I have followed this topic all days and played oot lots I think I very good at it and anyone can do some if practice lots. Keep going DJS Wink

I tried out some stuff with the glitch I found but didn't find much. I think the glitch is caused by the programmers thinking there was no way to get onto that ledge without going the long way around because when you go over there you can shoot through it woth the slingshot as though it were not properly rendered. This would explain why it doesn't work on the first web you break through. Whenever I do this glitch I’m playing as though it were a normal speedrun without making any diversions and whatnot. Also, was my timing of TSA’s part 2 Deku run correct?

Edit: Okay, I am now 95% certain why the glitch does and doesn't work. When you do the double jumpslash as shown here , you need to land on the platform with the switch on it, that is, you must not land in the water or touch the water. So if you land on the platform with the switch (not necessarily on the switch but on the platform in general) and then perform the skip that uses the gold skulltula, the glitch will work (hopefully).

I just tried it... It works. Just don't touch the water and it should work every single try.

I can't get it to work anymore... I did the exact same thing as before. I don't think not touching the water is it, because out of the hour that I tried it, I never touched the water once and I never got stuck at the edge.

Acryte, found out that if you time things perfect on the 1st jump for the bomb hover in Dodongo, you can get caught in mid-air for about 1 1/2 seconds and if the next bomb explodes on time against the wall, it will get you stuck. Ill post a video of my Work In Progress soon to show my tricks in Dodongo figured out by many others and maybe some of my own Smiley

I found a new way to backwalk.

To do it, tap Z, down, then hold Z. You need to do it fast.

I think this way gives you more control.

I was wondering why I was side hopping at funny angles.,as I previously mentioned you can get it so the camera iis facing Links side when he's side hopping.

Is it just me or is this a much more enjoyable experience for the viewer? Is this the first demonstration of backwalking while looking forward?
