yeah 1 for moat 2 for entering 1 for the wall to bomb, 1 for bomb chain, 1 to cross the gap in the bridge and 4 for bomb bag early. 1+2+1+1+1+4=10 it's perfect
doesn't the current path require 1 for shadow temple (statue fall) and one for jabu jabu (faster miniboss skip?) The miniboss skip one might not be a problem, but this might actually end up requiring early well or some other adjustment.
Segment 6 was just a placeholder. I will be redoing it. I probably won't redo 5 unless it prevents like...a big mark or something. I also need to redo 4 because of that discovery.
But I've got Dodongo, Hyrule Castle and Jabu-Jabu left...then Young Link is frickin done.
But that damn Hyrule Castle + Enter Jabu-Jabu thing is going to be a bitch.
BTW, there was no way to make it to Hyrule Castle from Kokiri Forest AFTER the Requiem of Spirit Cutscene. After Dodongo, with the trip to the Great Fairy + Owl Warp + walk to Hyrule Castle, it should be daytime.
Segment 7: Damn Nabooru slowed you down a bit at the start there, also, looks like you could've rolled a bit more but doesnt really matter, nice segment anyways.
Segment 8: Nothing worth noting here except how funny it is to see little link in this adult cutscene.
Segment 9: Perfect from what I saw, except the half heart of damage from the chu blast, but who cares, that's cool blowing up the dodongo boulder with the bombchu.
Wow, this run is starting to get exciting now, child portion is almost done.
Now I downloading those segmenst on my friend computer and when I go, I gonna try that firefox
TSA - I have watched segment 5 and 6
Segment 5 - was overall good but...
that cucco gate jump can done little bit faster.
Don't roll to the those grates, you can straigth walk between those grates and get top of those and then jump down.
Segment 6 - That gate skip can be done much faster.
that desert part need little bit more work with rolling or backwalking more.
good backwalk to the spirit temple, good job TSA
EDIT:

Segment 11: 1. Scale Death Mountain 2. Great Fairy of Magic 3. Owl Warp to Kakariko 4. Go to Hyrule Castle Town Market 5. Enter Hyrule Castle Grounds 6. Seam Walk + Bombchu Damage Boost to Garden 7. Meet Zelda and Learn Zelda's Lullaby 8. Go to Zora's River 9. Scale Zora's River 10. Enter Zora's Domain 11. Skip King Zora 12. Jump Slash into Jabu-Jabu 13. Save/quit
I noticed something here. How you can get magic meter without zelda lullaby? You are gonna get magic meter first and then get zelda lullaby
Very nice call Kazooie about magic. Secondly, that means in dodongo's we store the swordglitch off the bombflower (which is fine). And thirdly, I lied, it can be done.
Okay I pulled off that hover trick to get to the block using bombs... will record it...
Yautja - very interesting, I dled it like 30 mins ago I can hook you up if you want, just let me know how youd like to transfer it.
I'm a bit lost with all these new tricks now. Dunno how you guys keep up with all this progress. Anyway, what happens in Jabu Jabu now?
Do we basically walk to the switch outside of the Boomerang room. Do the bottle trick, get the boomerang. Return to the tall room, Bombchu skip off the elevator platform to the switch where we'd normally throw Ruto. Bottle trick again to get to barinade?
I timed it out, it is way faster to just go the normal route and not use the hover trick to get to the block. I was halfway before screwing up the hover trick and was at 36 seconds, whereas in 33 seconds I can get to the block w/ the normal route. so...
Okay...so um...I guess getting the magic fairy will have to be done...via a warp sometime later. I guess I'll do Dodongo, then when I exit, I'll go right to Hyrule Castle if that is plausible, if not, I'll save/quit and just hope backwalking across Hyrule field is enough from Lost Woods works.
I need somebody to time which is faster, then:
Getting to Great Fairy of Magic from spot after you learn Zelda's Lullaby, or from Link's house via warping in Lost Woods. If we could get behind Darunia's chair...and somehow make it to the ladder to scale up to the exit of Death Mountain Crater, then that would be awesome.
But I want to re-iterate, there was no way to make it to Hyrule Castle after save/quitting after learning the Requiem of Spirit. You have like a very short time, even less than when you first meet Kaepora Gaebora.
Has anyone tried save-warping in Dodongos, after you get bombs or the boss key, I forget which one is further away from the eyes of the Dodongo.
If you do a save-warp, it may be advantageous to go to Hyrule castle then, and then after you complete dodongo, go to death mountain fairy?
Or vice versa. Is it always a certain time after defeating KD? This would make sense, as we can:
1) Get bombs/boss key 2) Save-warp 3) Goto Fairy 4) Finish up KD 5) Darunia/goron molestation animation will make sure we have enough time to reach Hyrule Castle. Regardless of what time you re-entered KD.
Just throwing out some ideas. It would be entertaining too ("Why the hell is TSA going to the castle/fairy, after competing half a temple?")

I guess we don't have any extra?
Unless you mean crossing the moat in HC. Can't we use a bomb for that? That gives us 1 extra... we just need to find 1 more.
Stupid question: can't we use the hover glitch to get up to the eyes quite easily? Then it's a matter of bombing the eyes directly on the skull. But even that would take some time.
what do you mean DK? We want to get the bomb bag... the eyes are like 5 seconds from the bomb bag. And also, yeah we don't use the grass but instead use the special crop to activate it. We lose a tiny amount of time but save the bombchu for hyrule castle. I've tried pulling that trick (bombbag early) off with only 3 but I can't do it. You are way too low. The question is whether hover trick in hyrule castle is faster than hover trick in jabu jabu. Whichever is faster... I can't seem to do it w/ bomb since it doesn't push you are far or as high. So those are our options... that or do both but go through lizalfos rooms and eyeshoot rooms, etc. whichis way slower than doing 1 of these two and hovering on the other. Bleh nm forgot again lol, we need the bombchu at hyrule since we don't have bombs yet.
my math was faulty too... I forgot, we also use 1 to get into goron city... so that is why we need to compromise the 1 to cross the gap in order to save 1 for the moat.
The only bombchu we can squeeze out is taking that beombbag early down to 3 but I have used savestates numerous times and I don't think it is possible.
Hmm... just throwing this out there, is it possible to get the magic meter fairy as an adult? Not sure how far out of the way the trip back down the mountain is as opposed to riding the owl later, but we do stop in kakariko and I'd assume the gate from kakariko to death mountain would be already opened when you get there. If we need the magic meter only for the light arrows it might make sense to make the stop on the way to the shadow temple.
Hmm, I realized something rather recently. If you press B and immediately press R, you'll be in a crouching position with your sword out. Really useful in some spots and quicker than just hitting B if you want to take your sword out.
Also, TSA, I don't think you used the optimal strategy in segment 9. I posted something a while ago on it, I think. I'll find it.

Here is the best method for getting from Kokiri Forest to Goron City:
Exit house. Backflip. Backwalk until right before ledge, then run into it and pull yourself up. Roll to vine, climb up. Turn around, backwalk straight ahead. Sidehop right, angle yourself, backwalk and sidehop into arch.
Lost Woods:
Turn around. Backwalk. Sidehop left 8 times. Diagonal walk left for a short time. Backwalk into the warp.
