Verification Files

http://v.speeddemosarchive.com/oniken20140716/

Please refer to the Verification Guidelines before posting. Verifications are due by Oct. 19, 2014.

Please post your opinions about the run and be certain to conclude your post with a verdict (Accept/Reject). This is not a contest where the majority wins - I will judge each verification on its content. Please keep your verification brief unless you have a good reason otherwise.

After 2 weeks I will read all of the verifications and move this thread to the main verification board and post my verdict.
A/V: The framerate is only 15 fps and the sound overpeaks quite a bit. I found a quality test post and the sample was approved there. It would be nice if there was some way to get rid of the overpeaked sound though...

I remember the previous submitted run of this game, which I thought was pretty good then. I haven't watched that video again, but this is 40 seconds or so faster. The gameplay in the new run is really solid throughout. Small mistakes here and there, but nothing big. The route and strats seemed well thought-out as well. Boss fights were fast and time spent to collect power-ups seemed to pay off. The only improvement suggestion I have is to jump off ledges in order to gain downward momentum instead of simply dropping down from them. Minor, but a technique that's pretty easy to perform and useful in lots of other games as well.

Accept (but maybe someone should just double-check the A/V to see if something can be done)
Not a walrus
Hmm, the HQ is closer to 30, which makes me think the wrong yua options were selected when encoding this. Sound is definitely overpeaked, though. I'll make sure we get better MQ/LQ copies before this gets published, assuming nothing else is wrong with it.
I still got the original file on my other computer (sorry changed computer and had trouble recovering the file for some reason on my laptop) including the raw fottage before i put it through YUA i could always encode them again if you prefer
Not a walrus
May as well wait until you have the official time, but yeah, we'll want new encodes if you can.
A/V: The Video is fine. Audio is not as bad as i thought, wouldnt have noticed anything if it wasnt written above. Did a quick comparison to the old submission and find this one is easier on the ears. So it's good enough for me at least. Don't know which of the videos is closer to the original sound since i never played the game.

The run is fine. it has a few mistakes but they dont cost too much time and since this is quite a big improvement over a recently accepted run i don't see any reasons against it.

Easy accept.
Decision posted.
Thank you for the accept sorry about the lack of update been pulling my hair over some personal issue the last few month but everything calmed down

I tried to get new encode but nothing seemed to work but since i will have a little bit of free time i am gonna try to beat that time (the small error here and there still haunt me when i look at the video)
